Seriously, this is all I want. Plus the song is KICKASS. If you aren't familiar with Astralseeker's youtube channel you should be. He has the best psy-chill music on youtube IMO.
As for discussion. Do you think you could stay on the "light" side of the force?
For me it would have depended on when I got my powers. There was a time when I had a lot of rage and things....had I gotten the Force at that time I would have definitely killed some fucking people.
Nowadays....I'd say 80/20 I could stick with the program.

How would you know if you wouldn't prefer enlightenment if you've never had a taste of it? (assuming it exists in some ultimate from)
Or are you saying been there done that?

Dunno man enlightenment vs jedi powers is a no brainer. Whatever enlightenment may or may not be there's no way it can be as good as jedi powers.

Well...
This thread is a glimpse at the biggest dissonance of all that I have. I'll make a thread about it soon, want to get it off the chest while I've got the time.

I am interested in the Force aspect. It appears my bend would be to the dark side although I want the sun at my back. The warmth feels good and I think it gives you a couple of vitamins the elite would like to deny you.

It's not like they are mutually exclusive.
Give superhuman powers to an individual not devoted to God and see what happens.
That's why there are no grey Jedi (maybe in EU but it's intellectualization imo). Serve others/God, or your self.
That video was bad ass, btw. Not corny or anything (to me, for the most part), just general badassery all around.

I knew your real reason for posting the thread was to get such an epic video up. And yes, it was epic. No I would not be dorksided I would be with tha good guys. I always thought in LOTR I woulda clearly been a tree ent mind, fairly neutral... Just lazin in the forest mainly.

That vid and song were amazing. The footage was taken from the trailers to the Star Wars Old Republic video game coming out in a few months.
The dark side clouds everything.
I don't know. Duality is were appealing. The dark side would be no fun unless you have some self-righteous jedis to beat up on. But I think in reality it's not so appealing. I think the duality we have is a service to self vs. service to others.
You should check out astral combat. There are some bad guys out there (in there?) that will fuck with you if you don't know what your doing. It's more of a green lantern thing where your weapons are balls of thought energy and your intent. One time I melted a vampire using my mantra.

What happens when they fuck you? Wake up having a bad trip or something?
Can you regularly astral project or even maybe at will then Cosmo? I fucked around with it for a while but only had minor success.

There is this thing called the "Guardian of the Threshold" which tries to scare you out of a projection. It has appeared to me in the form of sinister laughing, screaming - that type of thing. Some people report a hooded figure and other images. This could be a manifestation of unconscious fear which had to be overcome to progress further. Robert Monroe reported bouts with some strange clawed creatures in the RTZ. I haven't experience this, although I've only been OOB like 20 times. The bout with the vampire I spoke of started out as a lucid dream which was then converted into a projection.
I can't project at will and have only had a few "conscious" projections. I have trouble with body relaxation - The best time for me to get out is early in the morning or the middle of the night, where I have had success using a few different techniques. The more you practice and put your intent the more spontaneous projection you will have. I've went 2-3 spans where I read and thought about out-of-body experience for 8 hours a day and those times I always had spontaneous projections in the middle of the night.

I only managed it a couple of times (WILD) and neither were really astral projections, more like black and white or dark OBEs around my surrounding environment. I think I know what you mean about the threshold thing although I only get the imagery and fear stuff when I feel really sleepy anyway. Normally It's just hard to let go when you feel it coming on because you get so excited when the "buzz" starts ringing in your ears.
Any advice for me if I wanted to try again? I guess intent and trying to do it a lot would be key factors. What else?

My problem used to be (still is in some cases) excitement once I get into the vibrational state. My heart rate starts to go crazy and what not. The past few times I've been "just doing it" though. I focus on the technique and don't think about it too much. Don't expect, just do it. It all happens so fast and your like "Holy shit, hear I am." I think that's the trick - tuning out that left brain which is going to want to analyze everything. "Are we there yet?" So the advise I would give is keep practicing, eventually it will just happen.
Reading books about AP will solidify your intent as well, especially if you read before bed. I've heard of people doing this "wake back to bed technique" where they wake up in the middle of the night and read about lucid dreaming or AP for about 30 minutes, and then go back to bed. Apparently it increases your chances of having an experience by like 1000%. Different things work for different people, you just have to find your niche. Practice different techniques. The book uploaded here has an array of different techniques.
Flying around the neighborhood has been my most numerous experience. A common theme is a silvery or surreal glow, or as you describe very dark. You can make commands during the OBE to influence where you want to go and how well you see. William Buhlman found after years and years of having OBEs that he could "turn inward" to experience higher vibratory version of himself, which come with their corresponding environments. But obviously the first step is getting out consistently and working on control once you are out.

Cups is correct. This is how soldiers can kill irrespective of personal reservations and still live with themselves.

No matter which side I'd be on, there'd be displacement. Claiming use of the force for "good" whatever the hell "good" is supposed to be, or for "evil", whatever that's supposed to be. There's no getting away from pushing this stuff onto something bigger than ourselves. But at least as a merc I wouldn't be obligated to stay with any one sides movement if I didn't want to.
I personally think it's taking greater responsibility

Leaders are few and far between. I used to be into choosing my prey and going after it. Now the ambition is dead and id rather get paid for the hunt by someone who thinks they know what they want in the world. They can have the leadership role, I don't mind. Still I have feelings that I don't want to deny and those would guide which jobs I take and which I would not.
