I'd imagine anybody with a lion could supply lion urine by the gallon.

Go to a sportsman store and ask for cover/predator scents. They carry everything from fox piss to sage oil. They're easy to come by and shouldn't be more than like 5-6$ for more than enough. A couple drops goes a long ways! If you can't find any let me know, I've got a few different scents for training my hound doggy!
Just put some cotton balls in an old film canister and squeeze some in (to prevent getting it all over yourself) and scratch the ground and put it in it, slightly opened. I will warn you though, you may attract a dominant mt lion to the area as they are somewhat territorial (if they exist where you do), otherwise you can find bear, bobcat, fox or coyote. All of which can and will attract predators so be careful.
-------------------- I challenge you to challenge yourself more! When you feel complacent and ready to hang it up, challenge yourself to get over it! If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. Anything I state is relayed information from a friend of a friend and should be viewed as completely fictitious. I do not partake in any illegal or grey-area-of-the-law activities, but do have lots of friends who may or may not. -fngbronco Pill Divider Agar Tek

Feces loses scent, and once it's old it's not scary. Soaps smell like humans and deer fear humans. I'm telling you, a dog training scent will smell like an animal is near and will keep away any prey type animals.

Lots and lots of lions, tigers, bears, and other animals are bred in captivity and live their comfortable lives that way.
And no, you don't have to abuse a cat to get urine out of it.

If it's not the middle of hinting season and deer take off running from being spooked (scent not included) they'll generally only run so far then stop and look back at what it was. I'm not 100% sure how dog training scents are collected, but I'm sure a local taxidermist could have access to bladders or scent glands. Even if you disagree with hunting, you could still buy the waste products to put them to use. I know Chinese will buy bear gall bladders for good money.

ive watched deer follow my trail less than a 1/2 hour after walking it checking out my footprints ive watched them more times than i can count come directly up to the tree im hunting from, after DEFINITELY locking eyes with me, and DEFINITELY smelling me every deer ive killed has been within yards of the stand or blind, and has also been within the first 1/2 hour of getting to the stand ive seen deer piss directly where ive pissed ive lost crops to deer that were pissed, shit, and caged ive seen them the day after using predator urine in my plots ive seen them not give a shit about dogs going crazy over them ive grabbed a mature wild one that i ran after in a field ive been jumped over by a wild one while fishing ive caught baby fawn bleating in the woods because they lost their parent
deer dont fear humans, none of the animals do, they just know better than to trust us so much. but imagine your doggy that gives you all of its trust because youve worked it since whenever. same way guys go out and live with lion prides, or gorilla gangs. deers arent just these extremely timid creatures. theyre smart and know who/when to stay the hell away
deer come look down the barrel of my gun before asking me to eat them

I recently have experience with deer showing no fear also.
I was out in my yard doing some target shooting, and I must have startled it with my 22, cause I'm walking back to load up my .45 when I see a deer running out of the woods and into my field 50 feet away from me. It obviously knew I was there, especially when I started laughing. It just wanders around the field a bit eating here and there. So I figure once I start shooting the .45 it would probably get spooked and take off. Well I took the first shot and looked over to where it had been and it was still there, just looking around now. I shot the rest of that clip and by the time I was done the deer had just slowly made it's way into the woods, but the entire time it was no more than about 100 feet away at the most.
I see deer in my yard all the time, and they are on my property hanging out in the woods and roaming around at night almost every day.
I've pissed around plants, poured almost half a gallon once around them only to find the deer laying less than 15 feet away from them the next morning. And I noticed they seemed more territorial AFTER I did that, walking around and spreading their scent more than usual. So in some cases it might make it worse to spread stuff around, it just gives them something else to be curious about.
So yeah, deer aren't afraid of us. You can't really generalize a whole species like that, just because some deer are spooked easily or because they don't care to be around us all the time doesn't mean they're afraid.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAA
man...
today i went to help a guy make a ramp down to his property, and move a trailer(rv) onto it
when we were just driving up we noticed a deer right in the middle of the trail/rd we were driving on. so i kinda mellowd my roll and (the guy riding with me is kinda frantic, and movey, and i dont think he was as fascinated as me)i had to tell him be a little bit stiller
anyway, we crept about til 100' away from the deer just staring at us (small buck, 4pt, velvet) and thats where our "worksite" was, so we stopped and just let the deer continue to watch us(100'away ) and im eating a banana, and i offer some to the deer, a few times. progressively louder each offer because i dont really know what they hear. he didnt answer so i walked towards him got to about 50' before he started WALKING kinda off the trail.
we both started walking down the trail and the buck was leaping. just nothing other than showing off, guaranteed. hed stop, we'd get about parallel, and hed go bounding off thru the forest again paralleling the trail, until we made it up to where he stopped, and again
that was pretty awesome
musta kicked a groundhogs back door( ) cuz a big fat one shot out from some rocks about 4' in front of me when i was backtracking the creek

are you a girl? maybe you have girl pee and they are not threatened you just have to have the pee that smells of someone who would grab a derrr and bite its head off. not for food, although that is always but for munchin your plants
the deer knows...
my friend thought something wrong with me when i said "i wish i had a gun"
but i said that before i saw antlers, and velvet
last(only) deer i shot like that...bad ...bad

Irie, Deer need to be culled in order to have a healthy population. That's what I was taught at gamekeeping college!! I also remember Big Cats piss from the Zoo works a TREAT! I'm sure their shit would also work great!! Respect, Z

Nope, I'm not a girl, but I'm built really small.
BUT...less than a week later the doe (the usual deer that show up are a doe and two bucks) had a brand new fawn with her, it couldn't have been more than a couple days old at the most, it was still a little wobbly on its feet and had slightly squinty eyes. So maybe they were a little more on edge with the doe just about to give birth?
EDIT: @EntheogenicPeace - The deer around my place are pretty used to me looking out the window at them, but sometimes they get startled if I open the blinds too quick or if they don't see me and then all of the sudden see fast movements from inside. But if they notice me and I just observe them and move slowly they will usually hang out for a bit before they decide to leave.
About the garlic and soap, give it a try. I haven't tried it myself so I don't know how it would work on the deer here. Let us know how it works!

this guy just walked by my window this morning
about 10 ft from the tip of my arm
by the time i got my phone on, and, OFF the stupid video setting, i snapped this shot:

i think its the same one that i saw the other day, over 40 miles away
i started talkin to him and he just stared at me until he got bored
