Mushrooms and Headaches

A friend of mine has told me about her different experiences with shrooms and how they are amazing except for one thing. When ever she comes down she gets such a bad headache that she has to take pills to sleep through it. She has told me that it gets so bad that she has thrown up from the headache. So my question is, why? Does anyone know why someone have such a bad reaction to mushrooms. I have heard they are used to treat cluster headaches and confused that they would give her such a bad headache every time. This seems different a few people have posted similar questions but they usually say they get the headache after the trip or the day later but her's come on just as she's starting to come down. Anyway, any insight would be much appreciated. PS she says when she uses lemon tek the headaches aren't as bad.

This is bizarre, from my experience mushrooms prevent headaches. Wish I had more answers.

I have the impression, some people get head aches cause they forget to drink while tripping and get dehydrated. Also, some folks drink to much alcohol while and after tripping.
You can try to drink more, tea, juice, water. Could take a couple advil after the trip too. Watch what else you did your friend takes before, during and after.
And get some sleep afterward. Ie, don't take it so late your up all night!!!
Peace

well first of all, It should be stated that everybody has different reactions to psychedelic drugs. Your friend's circumstances are unfortunate.
it is strange considering the current research on cluster headaches and psychedelics.
I would suggest that she hydrate better. Dehydration is a major factor for most adverse side-effects. Anti-oxidants also will help.
I have to wonder if these are just "oh I have a headache" versus "I can't move or open my eyes because of the pain" type headaches'. big diff....

I feel I should respond since a lot of my psychedelic experiences have involved headaches.
I think it has a little to do with the fact that the experience just sucks so much out of you. You really think a lot/hard when you trip.
The few times I've done shrooms, I've always felt really weird on the comedown, like an empty feeling. A headache usually seems to accompany me the next day. After two days though I pretty much feel normal again.
I've only got the chance to do acid once, but I did it with one MDA pill too. Again the experience was phenomenal, but the comedown/day after sucked.
It's weird how it works, but they aren't migraine headaches or anything, and they're totally worth if for the experience they give.

It is true that psychedelics can cure cluster and migraine headaches.
The discovery of the healing effects of mushrooms for those that have suffered the affliction of these types of headaches (vascular headaches) can seem like a miracle.
My Mr's uses mushrooms to fend off severe migraines that can confine her to bed all week and with her throwing up hallucinating and with eyes crusted up with dried mucus. She uses a low dose of .5 G weekly and it works like a charm for her, but she does say that occasionally the day after there's a residual but very mild headache left behind. I dont know if this might be aggravated by a higher dose because shes never had one.
As others said its very important to drink lots of fluids before and during the trip.

I get these chronic head aches too, but not all the time
i think they can be prevented by drinking a lot of water, that seems to be the case for me
