I spent moe time looking at them last night and they really do look different than subs. I really am interested in finding out for sure so Ill see if i can find a powerful microscope. There are people here in Australia now telling me that its common knowledge that P. cyanescens grows here in South Australia?
Hopefully Ill come back to this thread with some concrete evidence.

 nice. hopefully you can get a scope with a stage micrometer so you can measure the spores and cystidia. also note spore shape

Maybe you could send a sample to one of the TI's like Alan or Inski, I would think that they would have pretty powerful scopes.

if they are p. cyans happycamper then i also pick them at one spot and only there, couple of my SA thread hauls have them in them but you wouldnt be able to see so next time ill take a photo of them because the ones i find look way different to any wavy capped sub ive picked and exactly like those you picked but im still pretty certain the ones i pick and yours are mearly just subs variations but only viewing them with a microscope would confirm this
