Hot Temps, but still getting shrooms.

I started an outdoor grow in early spring & 2 months later, nothing. I gave up on them. Then shrooms started to pop up, so I picked them & started watering again. This was about a month ago. Since the first time I picked them the temps have gone up & down from 55 - 95F. I figured that once the temps got to 95 I would be done until fall. Thursday the temp got to 98 and today the temp got to 75 and I had approximately 1 ounce of dry shrooms. Why are they still growing with the high temps?

WOW, thnx Koolaid. After doing indoor grows at 74F I thought that I would have to wait for temps to drop in the fall for them to start producing again, but now that you said that it makes since. Thnx again.
Ur not a dick steelmonkey. Thnx for the info. I was just really confussed dealing with my indoor grow temps compared to the outdorr temps and I must say that the outdoor grow does better than any indoor grow I have ever done. Must be I'm not doing my indoor grow right, but I'll get sooner or later. Thnx Again

I think its just with outdoor grows the strongest fruits survive,I have some Oak Ridge fruiting outside right now and the temps fluctuate between 70 in the day and as low as 48-50 at night

Steelmonkey; How long have they been colonizing outdoor, & if they are fruiting at this point, are they bigger than ur indoor grow. Just trying to get an idea of how to compare my success rate. Winters here are brutal for an outdoor grow, sometimes 0 degrees F or less.

I just got into the outdoor for the last 4 years and I find it facinating in a whole different way than indoors.Itgets fairly cold here too in the winters,0 being on the low end.My cubes do great its my woodlovers that can be a bitch the last few years.
They aren't bigger yet because of the cold and flucuating temps but they are very very dense,in another month the'll start to stretch with the warmer day and night temps and the increased humidity

This was my 1st outdoor grow & am amazed at the difference in size & shape of them, they seem to be alot more fuller and have heavier weight to them, & I think they are starting to kick in right now as I can not remember my name right now Thnx

Cubes will fruit outdoors at high temperatures that would fry the mycelium during colonization in an insulated glass jar.
Also, if you tried to grow indoors at 100F, you'd have a much better chance of growing mold. Outdoors, there's a balance of nature so it works fine.
For those of you getting tired of the heat, I'll rub it in a little. We've yet to hit 80F so far this spring, and the day before yesterday, we finally let the fire in the wood stove go out. Today, the high was only 60F, which is perfect for the hiking and mountain climbing I try to do a few times a week. I could never go back to living in a hot climate. RR
