Help scrolling up irssi (within screen) using terminal on OSX

Well, title explains it all really. COMMAND+UP only scrolls the bar of the terminal window itself, not what's in it. Running irssi through screen, wondering how I can scroll up within it. Pretty simple task, but.. I have no clue how. Any help? Have looked for free ssh clients, no avail. May just get a Windows emulator and use PuTTy if it comes to it. There's got to be an easy answer for this though.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Oh, works for me in linux/rxvt. For me shift+pgup scrolls the terminal window. Maybe it's reversed for you.

Mac OS-X comes with an ssh client as a standard part of the OS. You don't need to install anything extra or special... just type 'ssh' from the command line.

As far as I know you have to enter the scroll back mode in screen using "ctrl-a, [" Then you can scroll up/down through screen's scroll back buffer using shift+fn+up/down.

Old thread, but I just had the issue and couldn't find an answer and discovered the answer by basically random key mashing.
Fn-Shift-<arrow> works for me on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.

hmm, downloaded CrossWeaver and putty, can't scroll within screen with that either.
And yeah, I'm using the ssh client, just trying to figure out how to scroll in irssi. Doesn't look like it's possible.

The snow leopard version isn't too bad... lots and lots of customization options. The old versions sucked.
