I'm out camping in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin and found these growing on my firewood, looks like oysters, but can someone confirm?

I would say it's an oyster.. the only look-alike that I know of that is poisonous is the Omphalotus nidiformis but it's easy to tell the difference b/c the gills of the O. Nidiformis don't run down the stem.

don't quote me though.. I am merely an enthusiast and amateur.

Not a trusted identifier but looks like oyster to me-

Gills, dead wood (looks like a cherry log or some broad leaf?), stem, flat, light color to gray on top

I don't often find them solitary though... Two nights ago, came across a log with about 50 mushrooms...  I think they are very pretty... Had some with lamb last night.

Pour water through the gills right before you cook them... Some bugs love to hid in there!

In ancient times, when demons roamed with man, They hunted, loved and lost, hand in hand, As time went on, the difference between them faded. You couldn't tell anymore, demons and man were related, and some would say the same, but who would like to claim? In time, Gods had even forgot, Demons, too, once love had sought. In times recent I remember, Once I was a man, In my heart I had an ember, I'll relate the best I can but it was snuffed, one distant December. And yet here I stand, no flesh, no bones, no seed or semen, All that's left is this Demon.
