There, I summed it up perfectly without resorting to name-calling or bullshit rhetoric.

I caught the tail end of a broadcast about the Harper parties gross misuse of hundreds of millions of dollars of tax payers dollars on projects that were never brought to completion or failed all together. It ended on them saying that Its the third time its happened so Harper can expect the Canadian people to not be rising up in anger against his reckless spending anytime soon.

Tcan; do you agree the knowledge is power?
If so; is it not logical that power hungry people would conspire to hoard powerful knowledge?

Quote:
Words have precise meanings in science. For example, 'theory', 'law', and 'hypothesis' don't all mean the same thing. Outside of science, you might say something is 'just a theory', meaning it's supposition that may or may not be true. In science, a theory is an explanation that generally is accepted to be true. Here's a closer look at these important, commonly misused terms.
Quote:
Hypothesis
A hypothesis is an educated guess, based on observation. Usually, a hypothesis can be supported or refuted through experimentation or more observation. A hypothesis can be disproven, but not proven to be true.
Quote:
Theory
A scientific theory summarizes a hypothesis or group of hypotheses that have been supported with repeated testing. A theory is valid as long as there is no evidence to dispute it. Therefore, theories can be disproven. Basically, if evidence accumulates to support a hypothesis, then the hypothesis can become accepted as a good explanation of a phenomenon. One definition of a theory is to say it's an accepted hypothesis.
\
The fact that people don;t seem to know the difference between "conspiracy theory" and "conspiracy hypothesis" really kind of backs up my argument.

You see? They proudly broadcast their failures and betrayals to the entire world, and here we are bitching about it on the Internet.

"Men in power" often happen to be the deans at universities who determine which curricula are taught in the schools.

Dean still has to fit the overall government standards or else the government will negate the degree.

Hey, I'm not disagreeing with you about anything, I'm just saying that the conspiracy rhetoric is pointless as are conspiracy hypotheses. The "conspiracy" is totally transparent.

Probably because there are more reasonable ways of doing it. The transparency is a new thing, only really been here in any practical sense for a couple decades. There are less violent and destructive ways of restructuring and refocusing our society and many good people are hard at work.

rioting is such a daft way to go about things. I always wonder why the mass's never think of storming the senate/Parliment itself, barricade themselves in, then making clear and concise demands.
