Do you think your body can easily live 24-48 hours w/o sleep?

Sometimes i wonder if lack of sleep will kill me but im running on one hour of sleep since last night and im still thinking of hitting up a midnight movie l8r (super8). Have you ever felt on the brink of death from lack of sleep or do you think we have evolved to superhumans and can withstand staying up for hours?

I've gone 5 days without sleeping. Less than 2 should be nothing.

At just over 100hrs w/o sleep, I felt like I was going to just disappear into particles at any moment.

There will be days where I can go with minimum hours of sleep and be really energized but a crash soon follows.
I heard of people that literally exist on like 2 hrs of sleep each night because of their genetics. I wish I was like that, I don't like sleeping, I'd rather be doing things, I'm a night owl and a shitty sleeper anyways.

i dont like going to sleep but once i fall asleep
if you make sure you keep eating its not dangerous to stay up 24+. 4 days is when the fog sets in and you start seeing ghosts and shit.
i always end up making up the time i didnt sleep in the next week though so its pointless to stay up all night. the day is when you gotta be doing thangs..

Longest I've stayed up was somewhere between 48 and 72 hours. Around the 48 hours mark is where I started to experience feelings of delirium that were very similar to what I have experienced from 100mg to 200mg of diphenhydramine.
At the time this happened I was around 18 and had not touched any drug, but now that I have I would most definitely compare the feeling to what deliriants induce...

You'll be just fine. You may start to feel like a zombie though. Just don't plan on driving a motor vehicle and stay far away from the crytal meth and bath salts.

You'll feel dumb and groggy and very much beat but you'll be fine and you'll be surprised how much PAST that point you can go.
I've stayed up for I think two days was my max, and this was when I was younger too. Fifth - sixth grade RTS online binges but I remember being able to do it. I've stayed up for single days since then and its really not too bad.
For me, right around when everyone else wakes up like around 8 or 9 AM I'll feel tired as fuck because it sits in that you've been up all night. After a couple hours though I get jump started to normal level. I'll get tired again later when it gets dark or if I'm laying around but if I persist through it I always get jump started.
I have never tried to stay up with the use of any good sort of stimulant. Only soda, because I was younger. I haven't even done it with coffee. One day though I got like two hours of shitty sleep, like slept in 10 minute intervals and I was just like fuck this... woke up drank a pot of coffee throughout the morning hours and I felt fine.

this thread reminds me of the navy seal hell week when they don't get to sleep more than a couple hours. I read a book which also had pictures written by former seal dick couch. It showed pictures of men sleeping standing up, eyes rolled back, zombie shit. Couldn't imagine staying up that long and having to workout too.

it would take more than a month w/o sleep to kill someone, but a person can die if they do not go to sleep for a long LONG TIME. Back in the day (I havent done shit for a LONG time, but back when I was bad on it) I would stay up for three weeks easy.

Never stayed up more than a couple of days. I'm one of those people who feel dizzy, and horrible after just a night without sleep.
