Contamination, chemicals, bad genetics.

Man, my first flush on my first dung tray was the fucking flush of the chrysalids. TOTALLY mutant. Chunks of stem coming out of the tray with upside down caps, all weird and fucked-up looking. I let em grow for a while. The mutants got pretty big.. and then I dried them and ate them. Good stuff. The second flush was beautiful. I don't know what causes this stuff.. I guessed maybe air exchange cause I had been out of town for a few days. Who knows? I say don't worry about it, your next flush should be nice, or maybe not, but hey they're still mushrooms and good to eat. Oh, and my strain was orrissa.

Mutants are usually fine to eat.

well my friends donkey is working with malabar right now. he finds that mutant mushrooms are for some reason more potent. thats why he like growing malabar and maties romero. my donkey highly suggests u cut the mushroom down the middle and look at its anatomy. mutation is something we should explore.

Well I can start to see alot of small pins which I believe will be the second flush and those all look just fine. Rather the larger shrooms that are going to b
e in the first flush are all mutants!
If and when I take a print of these am I going to always have mutants first flush with these guys?

Very true - the mutants we used to see from PF Classic and Treasure Coast were nice blue-stainers and more potent.
Maybe you can clone your freaks and get a casing of the fuckers.
I once got a mutant Lipa Yai that a nearly see-through cap - very strange.
