Fungi Gnats in Monotub!

My monotub has been colonizing for about 25 days. I had a saran wrap lid which I removed yesterday and replaced with the lid that came with tub to increase FAE to begin fruting. I have these damn little fungi gnats in my tub! Will these little fuckers contam my tub? My tub shows no visible signs of trich yet. I noticed these gnats about a week ago

They stay within the tub, I have no gnats on the outside. Can I put some apple vin in the tub in a cup?

i guess you can, but you risk damaging or even contaminating it. just put some next or on top of it and they should go away.

I believe you're referring to fruit flys. You'll get green mold within about a week. Harvest anything you can before the bugs eat it. 1 lays eggs that turn into 100 way fast. Kinda weird but they don't actually go for that cider vinegar like they say. Wine works good. Find the source in your home and eliminate it. Start over.

From another thread:
Simply get a bottle of red wine and drink all but 1" in the bottom. Set the bottle in your fruiting chamber and the gnats will enter the wine bottle and drown.
Contrary to the other posters, I've never seen gnats do much damage. They don't eat much, and they won't breed in your bulks substrates unless you made them too wet for mycelium to grow anyway.
Normally, they come from the soil of your houseplants, but if your terrarium has any standing water, that might be what brought them. Other species tend to breed in the bathtub drain, and you can kill those with Drano. Put a rag over the drain after you pour the drano in to hold the fumes, which kill the gnats.
Search for gnatrol. It's a BT for fungus gnats. RR
Sounds a little better than tossing everything.

gnats are a regular seasonal issue. They come with the temperature. If you can cool the room down, you could virtually eliminate the problem. Also fly paper works fine. It's nothing serious.
