Question about fruiting chamber ROOM

I know that when preparing the jars I have to make sure all doors+windows are closed, all ventilation and heating is off etc. What about the room where I fruit the colonized cakes? Is it okay if I have an air conditioner in that room? I figure there different rules for the air in the room I prepare/sterilize/inject the cakes then the room with the fruiting chamber, right?

A/C in the room you are fruiting is fine, just keep an eye on your humidity levels in your fruiting chamber, since A/C pulls moisture from the air in the room.

fully colonized substrates are extremely contam resistant. You're fine fruiting outside, let alone in a house w/ heat/AC on...

This will be my first time using a traditional fruiting chamber with perlite. How do I keep track of humidity levels?

get an analog hygrometer that is calibratable...
They can be found @ local cigar shops or online for $6 a piece...
also, your mushis will tell you...you just need to learn to recognize the signs of RH and/or FAE problems.

you build it properly. check the PROPER SGFC link.
there are people who have never used a hygrometer before, and grow just fine

Never used a hygrometer, probably never will, but I went straight to monotubs and they seem a little less care intensive.
Also when preparing jars I don't think you need to be super sterile, they are getting pressure cooked after all
