Some kind of stalked polypore but not Amauroderma rude as it has white pores that turn red upon touch. Cool find though.

Hmm, I might have to keep looking for what it might be then. It was pretty rad, it had snapped under it's own weight. It was around 20cm or so across the widest point, and quite deep too.

More from a couple of days ago...
Inocybe australiensis I think.

Small Clitocybe sp.

These again.

Crinipellis sp. Went back to photograph the caps and found a small patch growing from grass. Originally when I found them they were growing from the base of a dead plant rather than grass as I so thought.

Lepiota sp.

Laccaria sp.

A few of the pictures I've taken over the last month:

Mr Doughnut:

Thanks Lord Mayo! I really have to get myself one of those small Gorilla tripods. I've started playing around with photo stacking however it doesn't work so well when the camera I'm using only has auto focus. It's really strange to think that puffball is a fungus, awesome clear shots.

Nice shots Mayo and Anarkiz!

That thing is amazing, I don't believe how well you've captured it. I think I need to enroll in the Mayonnaise school of photography.

Thanks.
It wasn't attached to anything so I was able to move it under a tree for better lighting.
