So after many months of reading, researching and racking my brain I have decided it is time I got things under way. I am currently waiting on my spore syringe (cheers FunGuy) so once that arrives it'll be full steam ahead.
I will be going with the PF tek (BRF)for my first time but will eventually move on to bigger and better things. Also,I am thinking about using the plastic containers that you can freeze.Does anyone advise against this or will they be fine?.. Stay tuned for un up-to-date log of what i'm up to
Peace

Cheers mate. There will definitely be a shit load of photos
What are your thoughts on using plastic containers?.Obviously glass mason jars are much more superior but i can't get me grubby little hands on any at the moment.I shall fix that for the second time round tho.

you dont want filtered spawn bags for your first BRF tek.
plastic containers are on par with glass mason jars.
some prefer them for a myriad of reasons. as long is it is PP5
you can pressure cook it.
but you can steam sterilize it too, no problem.
the tighter fitting the lid, the better. thats usually the only complaint with the plastic tubberware.

I would just buy some jars because you're eventually going to want them. And if you do end up with jars make sure you don't pack them too tight. That's the problem I'm facing right now.

Righto,so it begins...Recieved my syringe about a week ago (thanks for the freebie too,FunGuy).Nocked up 5 440ml plasic jars and all 5 are showing healthy growth with no contams...Photos to follow when I get home from work. Asides from the first stages of growth there's not really a great deal I can talk about at this moment..stay tuned for photos and updates.
Peace
