Good finds my friend! I bet you don't mind the fact that you had to climb through horse shit all day, once you got those fat things home. Man I wish I had some friends that had some horses . I bought some horse manure and saw dust garden-soil off of creigslist but I haven't seen anything growing in there yet. I have looked through parks but mostly all I find is foes. Well at least is good to see someone is having luck. I wouldn't mind a spores print.

Yeah it wasn't bad I suppose - I wish the paps had been cincts too, then I would have had a decent haul. I think I got one good dose or two really mellow ones. we shall see - they are chunky. They like that shit!

Can any TI's confirm that there are paps and cincts in my photos? I know the ones that i collected are cincts but the photos contain paps too right? The difference being the color of the gills and the shape/color of the caps?
Thank you!

i have come across similar situations in the past i could swear these cincts and paps were cross breeding, but i have no expertise to test this idea

I have a friend with horse's and a massive stack of manure. I don't what to bug him every time I want to look when the conditions are right. Do you guys think it would be worth while to get a pickup load of his horse manure and start a patch that I can watch a water regularly. I know it's a lottery but do I have decent odds of getting an active?

Yes! you can make a flower bed out of it or use the soil to grow veggies. It's a win win situation. I recommend watering it every day, it seems to make the mycelium grow faster. Good luck

So what layer of horse dung am I looking for? Top, middle, bottom, old, new or does it matter because this is a big pile of dung I'm talking about! I guess it doesn't really matter eh. I will just take a mixture and spread it out around an 8 x 10 plot, about 2.5 inches deep right? I will start a new thread when I make it happen, thanks for the advice.

I would take mostly newer poop and a little of the older stuff, I would also mix them together. Water them often and try not to disturb the soil. I would plant something in them to remind yourself to water them often. Plants would also provide a little shade for the mushrooms. Good luck

older stuff has always worked better for me with cubes and cow dung. not so sure if it is the same with hpoo. plants are a great idea man. i have some of my dung in my tomato plants and some of it in an outdoor fc.
 peace and love bloodworm
p.s. every time i see the title of this thread i laugh my ass off. good stuff.

LOL
It should be noted that this isn't just shit, it's shit mixed pretty evenly with straw and even some wood chips/dust. I know i've read that Cinctulus likes rotting straw as well; my friends pile is a pretty perfect combination of substrate IMO.
