So ive noticed a lot of my friends vomiting randomly and suddenly when not expecting it on ambien. Even when taking as little as one....earlier today my friend didnt even feel nauseous at all and then randomly vomited after taking just one 10 mg. Anyone out there vomit from ambien without warning?

Its a hypnotic, which in some cases can be a powerful hallucinogen.

Actually ambien is kinda fun to abuse every once and a while, also sucks though because you literally forget 90% of what happened the night before. Anyways, never heard of ambien causing nausea, I'd think that'd be a bit risky to go to sleep on if it could cause you to puke

Vomiting after 10mg is very strange, because that's the standard prescribed dose. I took ambien for a while I didn't vomit.
Also, ghotbijr is spot on about forgetting 90% of what happens when you take too much. Taking 10mg and going to sleep won't end badly; taking 40-50mg (not remembering quite how much you took) and talking to people who wonder why you called them at 3am asking them why you were out in the middle of nowhere last night is not exactly settling.

Ambien has NEVER made me vomit. I've taken 10-15 mg (I found out that taking 1.5 pills works better than 1).
I only used it for sleep though. I found that it is mildly hallucinogenic. I saw a blacklight-like blue tinge in the peripherals of my vision and when I'd try falling asleep I would see my room in closed eye visuals and I had no clue whether my eyes were open or closed. I opened them and saw the same thing I did with my eyes closed.

I just ended up having a hellish night. I have a prescription for ambien which I take regularly but lately it hasn't been affecting me. So I decided to take 2 10mg tabs at the same time. The results... Puking my guts out for the rest of the night. If your new to ambien take half a pill of whatever prescribed dose. If it doesn't work take the other half. Then next time you take it take a full pill to see how you handle it. If you plan on taking more than one pill space it out between 30-45 minute intervals. You'll thank me. Oh btw if you force yourself to stay awake while your on ambien you trip and start hallucinating! Varies in different people though.

I never did get to trip on Ambien. I take it for insomnia, so it's not as recreational for me as I'd like it to be. I can take 20mg and watch a 2 hour movie and not even get drowsy. What Ambien does for me, is that it helps me fall into a restful sleep when I make the attempt to, as well as keeping me asleep throughout the night. Xanax, on the other hand, doesn't wait for permission.
