First of all, I am new and want to thank everyone for all the great information on this site. After stumbling onto this web site I decided to try to grow some mushrooms for myself. Ordered some spores, bought some supplies and was waiting for the spores to arive. I was eating some shiitake mushrooms I bought from the store, and decited to try and get a tissue sample going on agar. I used the grocery store tek, and got some growth. I know I should have done a few transfers to make sure I had a clean culture going, but I really didn't want to use what few jars I had to keep doing transfers. So, I cut 3 wedges off and put 2 to some brf/verm, and started a honey lc with the other. Well the jars started nice and turned green quickly. So I through them out. After pcing them to kill the mold. I forgot about the lc till I found it this mourning on the top shelf of my closet. It has some great growth nice and white and fluffy. What do you think the odds are that its Myc and not mold?
The water is not cloudy. And whatever it is looks really healthy. Would you guys get some sub going and give it a try or not? I will have to buy some more jars to do it. Do you think it's worth it? Any input would be appreciated.

Is there something I can inject into the Lc that would kill mold but not Myc? Peroxide? Would that work? If so what ratio should I use?

the odds are 99.9% sure to be a contaminant and not shiitake, throw it out.
