Anyone get the hiccups?

I think I've found a possible fix for random, mild hiccups: swallowing air.

When you feel the hiccup it's as though the stomach is trying to suck in air. That's what prompted me to try the method. Usually when I swallow air it comes right back out before it even travels through the esophagus But during the hiccups the stomach receives the air, as if there'd been a vacuum in there. The hiccups, unless really aggressive, stop right there and then. No seven glasses of water. No holding the breath. No scares. Just a bubble of air down the gullet. Go figure.
Try it out next time u get one and let us know if it works. It might not work if you've had a lot to drink, but otherwise I've had good results.

Ive heard this technique. What I do is when I see someone with the hiccups I just ask them to hiccup for me on demand and they usually cant do it. Its worked numerous amounts of times. Kind of tricking the body.

Tai chi cures hiccups. They don't tell you that when you sign up for classes, but it's true.

Really? I didn't know this, just recently got into Chi Gong, relatively similar to Tai Chi; i'll be interested to observe this. I absolutely hate the hiccups!
