Fucking amazing film. Just saw it on DVD and have watched it twice more. A look at earth and the human relationship to it with no spoken word. It was done on 70mm film. Many messages to this film. Go get it, it is well worth your while.

no its not still frame, but there are a few still shots. The music is a mix of some ambient, and very appropriate world music. VERY cool to trip too.

I just want to reccomend it again. It is simple amazing. It first looks at indigenous cultures and their simple beauty, and then shows the repetitious life that we lead, and the by products of it, like pollution war, etc and genocide

yeah......thats pretty cynical, i think our lives today are much less repititious than life in an indegenous culture. and.....correct me if Im wrong, but....didnt indegenous cultures also have wars?

life in an indegenous culture would be pretty limited, you would be relegated to "survival". nowadays, in the G7, we dont have to worry about survival, so we can spend our time doing whatever the fuck we want, and within our cultures, we have thousands of sub-cultures filled with people who live completely different lives from everyone else.....how is that repititous?

sk8boarding, rock and roll, video games, porn, fast food, buddhism, islam, television, the internet, libraries, hospitals, air travel, space travel, genetics, beer, literature, coffee, swimming, conversation, hunting, cooking, construction, deconstruction, communism, capitalism, aliens, robots, movies etc etc etc etc etc etc.

OASIS RULES!!!!

(not really)

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?
