Morels needed for DNA sequencing 1

If anyone has any dried morel collections with good pictures, I would like to have the DNA sequenced for publication in a soon to be released scientific paper.
I will be able to get you the DNA sequences of the specimens you send.
It would be best if you could send 6 to 12 mushrooms of varying ages for a herbarium deposit, but just a part of one dried mushroom would be enough to extract the DNA.
There needs to be good pictures of the mushrooms, and I would need to know which trees are nearby and if there is a fire / logging or a natural area.

I wouldn't mind sending you a couple of these but I don't know about 12 of them, Would that be okay with you? These are the pictures that I have of the morels, are they going to be good enough? The mushrooms are also cut in half so that they would dry better, is that going to be a problem?

Yes a couple is enough. Its best to have a herbarium deposit but not necessary, the picture is more important.

I'll have my buddy take some pictures, he's headed to west central Idaho to pick morels tomorrow, I'll swing by the Boise river and find a couple as well. I think it would be cool to get them from different locations and see if they're closely related.
How would that be done? Is it certain genetic markers like those super cool baby daddy shows (Maury rocks!)? Could 2 growing next to one another be two different organisms?
What is this trying to prove/discover?

If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. I can send you this one, and one baby that was nearby. I planned on keeping it in my personal herbarium, but I would love to help de-puzzle the Morchella issue.
