So you're saying that we just imagine the auditory and visual changes and that psilocybin doesn't really have a physical effect on hearing and vision?

KingEmblem said: These "post the scientific proof" guys are rather dull. Especially considering the acknowledged lack of research on psychedelics, at least in comparison to how mindboggling they are. There could be entire branches of science dedicated to psychedelics if it weren't for government repression. Apparently there are tons of people on here that won't try anything for themselves without preconceptions, they need "science" first. How on earth did these people get into psychedelics? Most of the "science" on them states that no one should ever try them. Science isn't infallible. To put absolute faith into it is dangerous. It allows anyone with the proper funding to manipulate you through biased "studies."
Direct experience, anyone?
This is essentially my point. Try it. Don't just say you know something because of some random uncontrolled tripping. The "science" is as simple as pinning an eye chart on a wall and having a friend ask you read different lines both sober and while tripping. Print several different charts, and print some color swatches to see if you can identify which direction the E is pointing better or worse when tripping. Don't just say you "know" something from personal experience when that personal experience is far from any kind of acceptable evidence and then trash people who don't believe you. But I'm sure this will garner more flames from the OP.
Hmm, that is actually reasonable enough, considering this IS a testable subject. The people who demand peer-reviewed cutting edge scientific journal articles on obscure and illegal subjects are annoying.

I've always had like 20/20 vision (I think ever better actually) but I think mushrooms have made my vision worse, especially my night vision. I can still see things clearly but I have noticable transparanet psychedelic esque genometric shapes over my entire field of vision 24/7. At night it can get pretty extreme...
It doesn't really bother me much, but in the long term mushrooms have not helped my vision at all and if anything made it worse because now I see everything through a layer of transparent psychedelic static 24/7.

I also have this issue.
