My professor gave me the best letter of recommendation ever

I got the highest grade in the class so of course I asked him for one and he seemed reluctant and took a while writing it but he mentions how I got the highest grade and how rigorous I am and stuff so I will surely be able to get into graduate school

Did you actually read it? Some schools require them to be sealed.
If all it said was "He got the highest grade in the class" then that's not a very good letter...

Also start speaking to the graduate professors ahead of time so they can get to know you...I know several people that were accepted just by being vigilant and putting themselves out there before other people
