damn guys your always tearing it up:super::super::cool::headbanger:
Those deconica sp. you find are SUPER cool!! almost like the neameatolinformans ( sorry about the spelling )
Your blue bruising cup fungus looks amazing too man! Ever figure out what it is???
That one pic is a mycena right?? pic #8 - - -do you know exactly what they are??
I wonder if they turn blue at the bases - they have some pretty colors:heart:

And man - i kno you said you don't find many morels out by you -- - -- but you just posted a pick of a beefsteak ( two of em ) in perfect moss for the tiny pretty blacks:awesomenod: THEY HIDE WELL my good man!!!! - GOtta snipe em :sniper: just check these two pics - this was the only spot we found these side by side - bout .25" from touching caps:shocked: but when we spot beefsteaks - these tiny tiny beauties are almost always nearby - they love the same mosses moisture and environments!!!! - and i bet the blacks out by you are just outta sight - find the first little black like this one by the beer can - and for some reason more ALWAYS start to poke their heads out for ya:cheers:
Nice pics man!!!! Keep up the stellar work:awesomenod:
Can't wait for this season's bluefoot pics:bow2::bow2:
Sending the blue vibes YOUR WAY:peace:

1 Tremella mesenterica
2 Tephrocybe palustris
3 Panaeolus fimicola
4 Mitrula species
5 Deconica species
6 Caloscypha fulgens
7 Pycnoporus cinnabarinus
8 Mycena acicula
9 Gymnopus dryophilus
10 Fomitopsis pinicola
11 Gyromitra esculenta
12 Exidia glandulosa
13 Pholiota veris
14 Megacollybia rodmani f. murina
15 Galerina species
16 Entoloma species

Appreciate it.

Wisco nice morels! The PH is too low in our area thats why we dont find them. The bluefoots might be out a little early this year we are in the 90's for the next couple days

The bugs have been horrible this summer. We have had more ticks this year then i can remember and the mosquitoes are unprecedented - makes taking pics a bitch. We had 22 ticks between us in just a couple hours. No wonder why moose run in front of 18 wheelers.

ah i knew you :wizard: would be able to name them ALL to a "t" :super::cool:
And of all here you prob wouldve found some tiny blacks if they were around
Just don't give up hope - i kinda say almost every habitat has morels of some kind - half free - greys - yellows - or blacks -- - - - - - - some spots are harder to pinpoint then others - and as you kno im just saying DON"T GIVE UP - hell you and Thinker could prob find a totally new pretty ass kind of morel:crazy2::laugh::thumbup:  and yeah man - im stoked for the bluefoot pics you guys will share - its a llllllloooonnnng yr wait to get the glimpse of those pretty buggers:awesomenod: Bluefoot vibes YOUR WAY:bow2:

The ticks have been horrible out here too:eek::eek: i went looking for greys down in south central WI and i got three nasty little deer ticks ( bit into me ) too:mad2: one even left quite a welt ( not lymes disease tho ) wheeeeew - im very allergic to deer tick bites:mad2: they last a WHILE on me and give me a wicked mosquito like itchy bump:mad2:  Mostly though we find LOTS of wood and dog ticks which aren't so bad cause they don't carry any bad illnesses
My buddy went camping with me at my trout spot just for one night last fri - he's from the city and he couldn't handle the mosquitos and ticks:crazy2::laugh: my poor dog too got NAILED with wood/dog ticks - she had her meds too but i still found atleast 30+ on here alone in just shy of 24hrs

Hope you have a easier time taking photos of the bluefoots - FUCK the mosquitos and ticks - we always say "burn in HELL diry tick" and burn them in the fire or by lighter:laugh::laugh:

Are you guys using DEET? You can step up to a permethrin-based repellent (toxic, must be used carefully) if DEET isn't working.

Its Galerina paludosa, one of the few small moss Galerina species that can be identified without microscopy due to the veil remnants along the stem.

The microscopy helped confirm that ID.

Really cool Tephrocybe!!!

I was thinking that too.  Some of the stems look blue.

On closer inspection, the spores on this collection are too large for that species and too elliptical, also too thin walled, and P. naematoliformis has pleurocystidia which is lacking in this collection.

ive tried "off" brand stuff before - but when its hot as hell and your sweating it off in ten minutes- it just makes you and your gear ( sleeping bag, pillows ) smell like chemical shit - doesn't seem to help that much in my opinion
and its a good idea to go more hardcore:headbanger: - but id rather take a few bites than get poisoned by some wicked spray
-i bet if the shit can hurt us - itd kill or keep away the ticks:crazy2::laugh:
