He cared about the people he knew just in general as friends according to them, I don't think there were very many signs that he cared about his followers much. Really I have no idea though.

I'll question whatever the fuck I want and that includes his words and his motivations.  Hitler's motivations made the gas chambers burn.  His propaganda films showed the world a different story about what was happening to the Jews.

Right so he's just another dude like the rest of us.  He's got some good ideas but so do you and really there's no big difference between him and you imo.  What he's saying he got from somewhere and a lot of people here are saying similar things that they got from somewhere.

No you won't. I said so. Did your parents ever scold you for asking questions?

"Hitler's motivations made the gas chambers burn."

Gas chambers burn? Lol, you didn't catch that one.

They were just taking their country back

If what he says is true and his thought are discontinuous and he's in harmony with reality then he's pretty different to me. So what if he's just another guy? He is saying the same thing as many around here, he puts it better than most is all IMO, also I haven't heard anyone here say they have had the physical explosion he speaks of.

I think he probably did want to talk to people about it because people wanted to do the same as he did and dispel some of what he considered to be misconceptions. So yeah really I guess I'd agree that's a little fishy that he says that although he may only mean in the sense that he wouldn't usually want to talk to those people. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's out to convert people and show them the truth though or that his motivations are bad, which I would with many gurus.

How would either of us know what his motives are or if he's in harmony with reality?

Just because he says this shit doesn't mean its true or he experiences any of it.  Only if you can experience it would it be true and then only for you.

Like I said I like some of what he says a lot but I also like some of what you say a lot.  He's not going anywhere that you aren't or ending up better or worse off.

I've heard just as powerful shit right here from folk as I've read from any great philosophical celebrity.  Not to mention my brilliant diatribes.

Firstly I never said I knew, I just said if it's true, clearly I don't but nor do I completely discount him saying that as he does seem honest to me.

I don't mean to imply he was better at it for all but that he's one of my favourites if not my favourite in terms of clarity and has probably had more influence than any other. I don't really watch, read or think about him any more so I don't  have any hero worship issue with him but I do respect him a lot as a person because to me he seems very honest and likeable and helped me to think for myself more than any other.

And yes, I agree I do regularly hear some great stuff here and yes you have had your brilliant moments and influenced me a lot. :feelscirclejerkman: :smirk:
