All the other countries I've been to suck ass.
Switzerland seems nice though. You could probably sell me on anywhere near the Alps really.

On the exotic side, Nepal has to be the favorite country I've visited but that's only from a tourist's perspective since the quality of life there has to suck at least a bit compared to ours, in the west.
So I guess my vote goes to the country I live in, Canada. Pretty chilled place.

At a political level I'd probably say Holland, their government has been very reasonable for years, let's see how they keep going cause they've made some bad choices lately. as to nature my country is very beautiful, specially the islands, madeira and azores.

Holland has allowed itself to be overrun by arabs who are breeding faster than the native population.

I don't think that is only Holland. That said...

arabs have nothing to do with the political choices of Holland. They are still one of the most avant garde countries in terms of liberal ideals, and they managed to do things in a 'politically correct' maner.

Holland is quite nice, but it's true that they have been exploited by a lot of Arabs. It was too easy to move there and get free money from the government. It sucks because now the more conservative parties are gaining ground. I wouldn't mind this except that they are more anti-drug. Amsterdam is tight though, and most of the Dutch can speak English so it's very tourist friendly.

Switzerland is great. I'm really considering moving there. They have the highest percentage of millionaires of any country in the world. That being said their "lower class" still has a very nice standard of living. They really seem to do everything right over there. Did you know that in the 8th grade you choose what career you want to follow, and the rest of your education is geared towards that?
They are also one of the few countries to recognize junkies as a health issue instead of a criminal one. They have programs that prescribe heroin junkies heroin and cocaine addicts methylphenidate. There is also the infamous needle park in Zurich where it is legal to shoot up.

Out of the places I have been (the states and mexico) I would have to say Canada. Specifically B.C. We have rainforests to rocky mountains to deserts to freezing cold northern areas. And the people aren't too bad either lol.

Everything from rainforests to deserts and snow skiing to surfing.
I'd have to agree with this. The US is so huge and diverse that it has a LOT to offer. The politics are meh though.
If we're talking about most awesome place to travel though, my opinion is different because I live in the US.
I agree with the OP that Switzerland is amazing. Gotta say, Zurich is one of my favorite cities in the world. The rest of the country is amazing too. I'd say Interlaken is my favorite mountain town in the world (seriously, google it, it's fucking beautiful). The country is so clean and environmentally concious. The only thing I didn't like about it were the strict laws on noise pollution and a few other weird things, but the laws are in place to keep the country more livable and clean. All in all Switzerland is fucking AMAZING.
When it comes to tropical places (that I've been to at least), I'd say Australia and New Zealand are a tie. Australia has some bitchin rainforests and reefs, best I've seen in the world. New Zealand has some really weird wildlife and plants in their temperate rainforests. They also have volcanoes, glow worm caves, and geothermal mud pits!
Trinidad has amazing and diverse rainforests and Tobago has some amazing reefs too. The street food is awesome, very spicy but full of flavor. But on the whole, both islands are kinda shitholes. Lots of crime, chance of getting kidnapped, corrupt government and police, people always trying to swindle you, trash littered roads, people live in corrugated steel and plywood shacks... Not for the spoiled "all inclusive resort" travelers, but a good time if you can put up with the inner-city vibe you get there. I gotta admit, the people who aren't trying to scam you out of money are SUPER nice and hospitable. My exgirlfriend summed it up pretty well, "Trinidad and Tobago is kinda like a tropical Newark, NJ with more to offer."

Ya, Switzerland does have some weird noise pollution laws. I'm pretty sure than in some cities you can't flush your toilet past a certain time if you live in an apartment complex.

I remember my dad getting a 40 frank fine for mowing the lawn on a Sunday when we lived outside of Zurich. That shit seems... very excessive.
