For sure. That's why I use my change little by little throughout the month and never let it pile up. I'm sure I look like a broke ass, but I'm just frugal.

I payed for a gallon of milk in all dimes and nickels. I gave a friend of mine like 7$ in change at a gas station and asked him to go inside and give it to the teller. He wouldn't do it, he was embarressed to pay in change
I walk in like a boss, I think it's funny, i worked a register before, I liked when ppl payed in all change cause it slowed me down, got to stand and count lol.

Yeah, that guy is acting like a bitch.
Just pay it in cash or credit. Why does he have to act like an ass to some poor chick just trying to do her job.
Oh and learn to park asshole.
Hope the attention whore is proud after wasting so many peoples time. Now they go back and crack beers and laugh at how fucking cool they are.

So do any of the people who claim that pennies are not legal tender for all debts payable have any proof?
Or will they just pipe down and find some lower hanging fruit to pick as is typical?

When I was 7 or 8 I tried counting up 100 pennies to buy a ice cream from one of those ice cream trucks that sold a dollar ice creams that came by all the time, but I kept losing track of what number I was on and starting over then ragequit before I counted up to 100.i was in a hurry to count it because the ice cream drove by and i wanted to try and catch him on bike.

The government (federal reserve system) can not deny pennies as legal tender. Businesses are not held under that same law.

I found that on a weird laws website. To me, it makes sense... keep your fucking pennies or roll them
You're a fucking disgrace. You think it makes sense to make it an arrestable (read: IMPRISONABLE) offense to PAY for something with LEGAL TENDER?
THIS is the kind of shit I'm talking about. THESE are the kind of people that are on "our side", "my side".
This is fucking embarrassing. I bet it was like being a cannabis smoker back in the 1830s around a bunch of fucking slavery proponent retards like "God I wish these guys weren't so fucking ignorant if they're going to be sharing a habitual activity with me; folks might associate us together".
It's good to know you want to stick your gun in my face so I don't pay your broke ass with pennies. You people don't even THINK about the "laws" you want instituted do you?
God I'm SO right now.

The government should stop issuing pennies if they're not acceptable legal tender.

The way I read the article he plopped em all out and acted like an imature child.

He first asked the clinic staff if the facility accepted cash payments, and then dumped 2,500 pennies onto the counter and demanded that they be counted.

I wasn't referencing this situation but rather the whole canadian government, having to have 25 pennies or more bundled thing.
What a stupid law.

yes but private entity can refuse payment in cash or change
Your wrong. They can refuse a payment for a purchase in cash or change but may not refuse a cash payment for a debt. "Legal Tender for all debts public and private"

Read the Page again Title 31 states that its "legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes and dues...."
They clarify by saying "What this statue means, in the words of the united states treasury is that all united states money is a valid and legal offer of payment for debts when tendered to a creditor."
I would argue his owing the towing company 88 dollars qualifies as a debt. I hope that not all of the over 5k posts you have made in under a year have been this poor.
