Well the temperature is good. When I used perlite in a tote I just put plastic wrap over the top and cut six holes in it, then sprayed water into the tote

i did search about it. i know that since my humidifier has the filter that its not good. it should be a spinning disk. i searched all over the shroomery and google. i got a lot of mixed talks about how much standing water under perlite you can have. but i couldnt find any posts that stated my same predicament, not being able to break 50% humidity. i think its the fact that i got a 20 dollar electronic thermometer/hydrometer. im going to get a metal round one cuz i see water on the sides so i know its got to be humid

1.Build SGFC and forget about humidifier !
2.NO standing water under perlite...AT ALL!!!
3.Wrap your hydrometer into dump/wet towel, leave it for 1hr and whatever it shows after...thats your 100%...even if it shows 50%!
4. Condezation on the walls is sign of temp difference not humidity!

first what is an SGFC? second wouldnt wrapping it make a false humidity level on the sensor node?

Holes on all six sides will allows air to move the moisture from the perlite to humidify the sgfc. Make sure the holes are no more than 2" apart and are 1/4 inch holes
