Are outdoor fruits more potent than indoor?
    #14573232 - 06/07/11 08:12 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

I've always thought that my outdoor psilocybe fruits were more potent than my indoor one's. Maybe's it's because of mother natures help, "natural setting". I've also noticed that the fruits are way more solid and dense compared to indoor. What do you think?

I'm positive the opposite is true. They have a genetic inclination to have x amount of magic, regardless where you grow them. Inside they are protected from the invironment, and outside they are not. Outdoor cubes can be as potent as indoor ones, or it could be less. In ideal circumstances they are the same. The density of the fruits has a lot more to do with the temperature than anything. Cooler temperatures make for denser fruits and at night, outside it gets cooler. Henceforth spring cubes are denser than those that grow in the height of summer, outside

Could be that both are true- genetic determination of potency, but sunlight/outdoor air helps the mushrooms achieve it.
Kind of off topic here in Mush Cult though. We all just grow delicious edibles.
