Panaeolus Cyanescens Monotub -- Pics, Progress

Got some panaeolus cyanescens, here. Cool looking species. These blobs are a little strange. The spawn was mixed together with the substrate, no layering, no frosting layers, no top layer of substrate, nothing. Exposed grains, and all.
It hasn't been cased, yet, either. It was spawned 2.5 days before the picture was taken. 1:1 ratio of rye berries to composted cow manure and verm (50/50), about 1.5" deep. In a 20 gallon tub. It's in a clear bin, so the progress of colonization can be seen. It looks to be about 80% through the substrate on all sides of the bin. Advice?
6/6 -- Pics Uncased, Cased Same Day

6/10 -- Cased Since 6/6 Top Tub -- higher FAE

Bottom Tub -- lower FAE

6/15/11 -- Fruits! Bottom Tub

6/16/11 -- Top Tub. A little slower, but nice pinset

The blobbiness of it looks like some type of overlay, to me. I've only grown cubes, so I dunno. Curious if anyone knows if its overlay. At 2.5 days, it seems hard to believe that it would be. But then again, who knows. Don't want to ruin the whole enchilada

Thanks el Shamoku. These are cyans. Tomorrow, will probably case them. Since that stuff isnt overlay, I'll let the tub fill in to 100 percent before casing.

overlay occurs on casing layers like peatmoss
doesnt really happen on manure.
besides overlay is dead mycelium....

nice approach.
with that colonization speed your casing layer will be white in no time.
what does your casing material consist of?
after applying the casing i wouldnt wait to fruit.
how much holes does your tub have?

Casing: Casing will be a 50/50 of vermiculite and sphagnum peat moss, with added calcium carbonate to balance the pH.
Holes: It's a walmart special tub, 20 gallon or so, latching handle-lid. It's your run of the mill monotub. 2 2" holes on both sides, 1 1" hole on both ends. Polyfill stuff.
If this works out, hopefully it will convince people to grow more pans. RIDICULOUSLY easy. The worst part about it was dealing with the cow manure.

You are on course Captain.
That is the casing soil to use. Pans like a very thin casing layer, from all reports. (I got fruits once, but lost the tub immediately afterward, so I feel like I am still getting the grip of these)
Good luck!
