Just do it - crumble and mix. Pasteurize the coffee first, or use it as soon as it cools from bring brewed.

I'd spend 4 bucks on a brick of coir(don't use the whole brick)and spawn it to that or mix 25% coffee with it.Straight coffee contams much more readily

When properly pasteurized, no it doesn't.
When pasteurizing coffee, it's like you almost have to use slow (proper) pasteurization for the grinds to become pasteurized, properly.
Be sure not to let the water in the pot exceed 165F. Begin timing (60-90 minutes) pasteurization when the thermometer gauging the temperature at the core of the coffee grinds reads between 140-150F.

I agree but I don't know how many threads I;ve read from people NOT pasteuizing properly so I don't reccomend doing so if you havn't used coffee before

I don't follow the crowd. Pasteurization is easy and is much like preparing/cooking a meal (a meal for myce). So, I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. If you can use a stove/oven then you can pasteurize.
The only way to round the learning curve of pasteurizing coffee grinds is to encourage people to practice. Rome wasn't built in a day so don't expect to come out of the gates knowing how to pasteurize properly. It takes some practice, yes. But, practice makes perfect.

Don't you think the OP should know that coffee tends to contam more easily than other subs, especially straight coffee. All I'm advising is coffee pasteurization isn't as forgiving as other subs if not quire done right

Fruit cakes as cakes for best results. If you have to spawn your cakes for some reason, use coir/verm/gypsum. Easy-peasy.
