Laminar Flow Hood Hepa Filter with Pre-Filter Question 1

I was doing some research the past couple of weeks regarding glass fiber HEPA filters and pre-filters for building my own laminar flow hood. I recently received a quote from a manufacturer for the following HEPA filter and pre-filter:

HEPA Dimensions are 915mmX610mmX150mm. 3'x2'x6". Pre-Filter dimensions are: 595mmX292mmX46mm.
Costs: 44.00 USD HEPA, 2.35 USD Pre-Filter For 100 Units.
The HEPA filter is 99.995% efficient at 0.3 microns, and is tested fully in accordance with NIOSH standards using high pressure/low pressure canister testing, and laser spec. Approx. 300mg phosphate used in testing each unit as well. The pre-filter is pp (PolyPropylene) fiber with a MERV8 rating,
I am thinking about getting some sample filters and am wondering if this is good enough for a decent laminar flow hood. The HEPA filter holds 900g of dust so it'll have a long service life. Plus, the initial resistance is less than 200 pascals, with nominal flow at 1500m^3/h. Thats 883 cfm. The prefilter handles the same airflow.
I have an adjustable blower which does about 1060cfm at 1.48f/s.
Is this sufficient for a good laminar flow hood?
I plan on tweaking a couple of different teks on the board so I get a good "laminar" flow, meaning that I will evenly distribute pressure across the backside of the HEPA filter. Lemme know what you think, thanks.

That should work, but you can probably find a better pre-filter. If you get a really good prefilter, your HEPA should last forever. Mine is ten years old and I run it 6 to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's no loss of flow yet. RR

Whats the MERV rating on your Pre-Filter? Dust Spot is okay too, but a MERV rating would be great... Thanks,

I'm looking to purchase some filters as well. Could you tell me who you are getting your filters from?
