Well then you should know better- banks charge for services like this. That's if they take euros at all- I live in a pretty big place, and exactly one bank will take cash euros. That's the downtown Wells Fargo, and they want 15% (!!!) for non-customers.
You can however use your euros to start an account with them, at their stated exchange rate. Which is several points away from xe.com.
So basically you're just talking out your ass. Don't dig your hole any deeper- you've been called for BS, move along.
Best way to handle cash euros is to mail them to Europe and buy things. In my experienced opinion.

I never said they wouldn't charge you for the exchange, smartass. That's rather obvious, don't you think? I convert usd's to pounds and euros, on a monthly basis. So fuck off and head back to OTD.

Mukhail. I misinterpreted this thread contents and thought Doc T was saying he buys dye with cash in Europe. After reaming me for giving you good advice and this- "Best way to handle cash euros is to mail them to Europe and buy things. In my experienced opinion." Which is bad advice.
Good luck! I had the 2 comments mixed up some how. I hope you didn't take offense? If so, my bad! Just a mix up.

Exchange it for silver coins instead, you will be better off unless you plan on spending it in the short term, in which case try to go somewhere that specialized in foreign currency exchange, many coins shops do this for a lower premium than banks.

If I'm not mistaken our dollar is worth more than your dollar now. Looks like it's going to continue that way too.
