Drying problem

I've been pokin around and haven't found anything that really fits..
I have 1p and 1/2p cakes that are just starting to pin, but, I didn't even think about drying.
There's no way I can fan dry, (I'm staying with my girlfriends parents for a bit.) what do you guys think is a reasonable option?
I've heard of cat litter, just setting them outside in a tupperware w/ rice, blow dryer..
Any advice guys?
I can't wait to do this right, it's such a bummer atm..

I'm sharing a room with my girls brother, so I can't set up a dehydrator in here. That's the problem.
I'm in the process of getting a job in a new state, and we kind of hit a bump so we're stuck here for a bit, and I brought my jars with me.
Now I'm stumped.

What are your options as far as hiding places go? Under the bed, in the airing cupboard, in the tool shed, your car etc..
What are your options as far as dessicants go? Can you get a hold of some calcium chloride or are you limited to kitty litter and rice?
How much freedom do you have where you are? What's the worst that could happen if things go south?
Give us a better picture of your situation.

I'm new, so be warned that my idea may have flaws or unforeseen consequences on my part...
But, I do know how to dry stuff.
Get a box fan and 2 or 3 cellulose (not fiberglass)air filters that are roughly the size of the fan. (the kind you replace every month or so that goes in your air return)
Using a laundry basket as a base (since it has holes and will hold up the box fan), place the fan suction-side up.
You want the fan to suck air over the shrooms, not blow... it's about aerodynamic efficiencies, surface area, etc... just put it suck-side-up.
Place 1 filter on top of the fan. Place shrooms in grooves. Place 1 filter on top of that filter and attach some way... bungee cords work fine. You can do more than 1 layer at a time, you just need more filters. Don't stack the mushrooms, only the filters.
Turn on the fan, let it run for a few hours, and viola...
And if any of this sounds familiar, it was done on a show of Good Eats for making beef jerky.

I have a box of clothes, which I'm currently stashing my pmps in, and a dresser.
I MAY be able to get hold of some calcium chloride, but the shops around here are pretty shitty.
I have freedom in most cases, but I'd probably get the boot if things went south.
I hate the fact that I have to do it this way. It feels very disrespectful, but I feel it's no worse then growing my own food.
I know my opinion doesn't really matter in this instance, but it's such a shame to throw away fruits after such a long, miraculous process.

Why do you need to dry them in the first place? Eat them fresh!

NewToMushies: What might be able to help?
I don't know if eating them fresh is going to be an option, it depends on the days circumstances.
I'll probably just try to dry them the best I can, and if it fails it fails.
At least I'll try.

maybe able to turn the fresh ones into tea and save em a week or two that way. not really a long term storage solution.

Thanks anyway guys.
I knew there wasn't too much I could do, just wanted to see if it's happened to anyone, and maybe get some input on what they did.
Do you guys recommend
A: Sandwiching them between paper towels and setting them in a drawer,
B: Wrapping them individually in paper towels and putting them in a bottle filled with more PT.
Would putting some verm at the bottom soak up any moisture?

yea, but I'd recommend rice instead of verm.
dont do A as you're asking for mold w/out air flow.

If you got room to grow then you must have room for a dehydrator.

I vote to throw them out or give them away fresh to a buddy, then get started in your new spot once you get there. Don't wanna be grown shrooms feeling disrespectful; it's supposed to be a good vibe situation through and through. Respect the shroom and in turn the shroom will respect you.

Toss them in the oven on a cookie sheet at 140F for a few hours, then put them in a desiccant chamber for a day or two...
