Mother 2 (Earthbound) and Mother 3 each have pretty trippy environments. (Forgive any copyrights I may have infringed--I stole these straight off of Google.)
Moonside

Magicant

Saturn Valley

Tanetane Island

And Earthbound's final battle

Discovering Oasis while wandering around the bleak land of fallout 3 was one of the best gaming experiences ive ever had. I was 15 or 16 at the time but I felt like I was 6 again.

Killer7
this game is by far the WACKYest i played this shit and it honestly made me feel sober, it was for the gamecube and ps2.
In it you were a group of hitmen hired in this sort of mission impossible/pulp fiction backdrop and all the while this group called the heaven smile are gettin in you're way trying to suicide bomb you, but its not even like that you just have to see it in action for yourself, all the backgrounds are gradients and shadows its awesome, each hitman has his own powers and its basically a rail shooter but you travel through buildings solving puzzles and stuff alot of the NPC's bring up crazy references that sound out there, if you look some of the stuff up it's like all underground goverment and historical references, you can check out game f.a.q.s. actually some guy linked everything up to the real world even tho in the game you have no fucking clue whats goin on except the story line that is kind of gettin to you in this fucked up world.
The game for me hinged on the sound effects and moody atmosphere it reminds me alot of resident evil if it was just an abstract game. I have memories of goin through this asian designed house and all the noises it made as you went through it, like the sliding doors and wood surrondings.

Update: Got the sequel! Been playing for a few hours and so far it's really cool. Trippy as hell plus the first game came with it.
I definitely recommend Alice: Madness Returns to anyone who's looking for a trippy game to play. Thanks again, BluePixieWaves.

Yeah, and don't listen to the naysayers who will say that game is cookie-cutter-cliche, it is, but it handles itself very well for a simple platformer; the camera isn't obnoxious, there aren't over-the-top-annoying characters or voice acting, and the environments and protagonist make the whole romp worth it.

From what I've seen so far I can say this is a worthy sequel to a great game.

My vote is going towards wow also. Been using the Zangarmarsh photo for my avatar for awhile. Deepholm is very cool as well.
Had many trips exploring and pvping in wow.
Acid+World PvP=
Mario Galaxy is truly incredible to. Everyone should trip on acid and try out mario galaxy at some point.
Raiding in WoW is great to doing some of the old 60 raids like AQ.

Hell yeah, I love World PvP while tripping, high, drunk, etc... Just makes it that much more rewarding!
I got stoned one day and went gnome hunting, it was great.
