So what would the world be like
    #14569689 - 06/06/11 02:30 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

If every living thing was highly intelligent and capable of communication.

Is stupidity a requirement for the functioning of our society? / human species

do you mean communication via spoken and written language?

All that would do is make us kill off the rest of the planet faster.

As far as stupidity, it's simply a by-product of our society. Everyone has the capacity for intelligence, there are just too many factors to disrupt it for some (a lot of) people.

Disagreeing with you is not necessarily a sign of stupidity.

no thats not what i meant or im not understanding your post right.  When i say is stupidity a requirement i mean is it required that most living things besides humans be stupid/less intellegant for us humans to function in society?

And to the other poster what im referring to is the ability to communicate in general on the human scale, in a way we understand so speech and/or written form or through technology something involving computers unlocks such things similar.  I soppose for a twist i shall also include that they can communicate with each other on the human scale altho i guess thats kind of implied so not so much a twist.

I think it would be fucking weird man. talking with frogs and your neighbors dog and shit.

Politics would be even more of a bitch, you would have snails wanting better living condition, mosquitos would want safe blood donors and stuff.

Lets just keep it the way it is
