Surrealism and The Subconscious
    #14569479 - 06/06/11 01:37 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

So I've been meaning to start to delve into surrealism and unlock what my subconscious has to show me. Today with a friend I began to let my subconscious to flow onto paper and really just keep from starting to form anything consciously. It became easy once we began having a conversation. The pencil just flowed whatever I was feeling onto to the paper and I began to notice how relieving it felt. Are conversation began to turn blurred and vague. Words became more jumbled and we really started having a sort of subconscious conversation.

This is when it really became surreal and personal, it was very emotional and felt like a very clear drug state.

I want to begin start making films in somewhat the same manner. Surrealism really is a relaxing and therapeutic art technique.

Here's what we drew.

Some call this channeling. Accessing your Subconscious.. it can produce unexpected results, if you just keep on doing this.

i wouldn't call it surrealism..
it's more your unconscious and mind flow. there's nothing defined in this drawing. just lines lines lines that cennect and looks like faces , eyes , legs, maybe poeple.
