It does not look like anything that I would want to eat.
Wait for a Trusted Identifier...
My opinion is no, but I am not a TI.

It seems like the color balance in the two pics is wrong, but I wouldn't say they show cubensis anyway. If it is supposed to be another active species, I at least can't tell what it is.
Making an id from dried mushrooms a is a hard and risky thing to do, I guess even for quite experienced people.
If you don't know for sure what you've got, my only advice is you chuck it.
I'm a skeptic so I only aquire mushrooms from nature or my own grown.

Those look a bit like these, which were also non-active.

I kind of agree but those were obviously easier to identify. But if the OP isn't aware of what he supposedly got in his hands, that is a high enough chuck-factor for my taste. But then again I don't know too many mushrooms by sight, I'm mainly used to pick semilanceata.
So I have to say, read, learn, and leap into the wild, or optionally, go for the grow. (it's fun too!)

that stem is way too brown to be a cubensis. Gymnopilus is still a possibility

Not condoning eating the "floor find" but those do look like some gym's i used to have alot of pics of dry ones - but itd take me all night to find the pics and find room ( then upload them )
Mostlikely those are or were active gyms BUT............. To feel the laughter ( even mildly ) you would need LOTS LOTS LOTS more of those dry - - -- atleast a half oz dry maybe more depending on age
Those were prob all someone couldn't choke down - dry gyms taste THE WORST
And OP - seriously DONT FUCK WITH THEM - - -- - ive seen some sketchy old men in groups at shows lately selling TOTALLY deadly looking bunk ass mushrooms - ive been tempted to just jack them before - but i really don't like getting violent - - - - but man its NOT EVEN ENOUGH to mildly enjoy
DOn't eat them
Do some research on gymnopilus species
Then do some hunting - maybe you'll find some fresh ones yourself

How much is there??? - you have a weight???
They were prob left there for a REASON Just the ends of the BIG BAG someone choked down!!
Seriously do some research on active gyms - like g.luteus or g.spectabilis - they weren't suppost to originally grow in WI - but i was persistant and eventually found MANY MANY spots with pretty and potent "fresh" gyms
#1 rule of consuming fungus - DONT EAT SHIT when your not or "cant be" 100% sure on the id
Those are "most likely" gyms - but i doubt you have enough to get hi They degrade in potency WAY WAY faster than most fungus
Fresh or fresh dry is the way to go -!!! Hunt around for red oak fallen logs - Find your OWN and fill out a id request here with the fresh ones
Happy Hunting man
Many people have died from eating random "finds" on the floor

Don't be too discouraged man Your finding shit on the FLOOR Seriously keep at it - hunt around - learn - AND KEEP LIVING - Your luck might follow you into the woods and man i bet you'll be posting pics of fresh found gyms in no time
Look for old growth forests with LOTS of dead red oak
