She had a kind of English accent, but you couldn't hear it over the porn star moaning. Ea's about to start, so they'll probably show Battlefield. Skyrim is gonna be on Wednesday at 5pm PST, which I think is about 1am English time which sucks balls.

yea last vid of the EA conference. When the white phosphorus was being dropped it looked real, nearly identical to the hellfire strikes that happen in the middle east right now.
I'm a Battlefield fan and never was a big fan of CoD but I believe the BF3 trailer at least was leaps and bounds better, just like their games have been too...

Looks fucking epic. The FLIR looks perfect, explosions are just right. Warthog's nose cannon sound effect is also perfect.
BF3 just blew MW3 out of the water and shat on it's steaming corpse.

It's basically the gameplay I think, people want fast-paced, thoughtless gameplay, where they can just react to moving objects and shoot at them. Kinda like Duck Hunt with better graphics...
BF3 actually requires you to play smart and use stategy.

I'm pretty surprised they're doing a new Halo trilogy. The rebooted Tomb Raider looked pretty cool, especially with all the porn star moaning . Batman Arkham City looks sweet, I never played the first, but this looks awesome. Obviously, Skyrim is gonna rinse everything else, those wolly mammoths and giants were so cool, I just wanted to explore the fuck out of that valley! I'm planning my character now

Fucking gamespot wont let me watch ubisoft live
It keeps telling me that I need to download flash player 10 even tho I have it
When does microsoft plan on releasing a new system, wont it be hard to go much further without new technology.

CoD and Halo are both so shitty but they will outsell every other game.
BF3 looks good, but I'm not sure if I'll get it. Am I the only one sick of these warfare shooters? Quake >>>>>>>> BF, CoD, MoH, KZ, and more. I guess I just find it hard to enjoy games that are supposed to be quasi-realistic, but aren't even close.

Sony beat out microsoft but there was nothing awe inspiring from Sony either...
The highlight for me is easily Battlefield 3 and Skyrim, really excited to see the multiplayer footage that comes from BF3's booth.

New Wii console called 'Wii U'. Not crazy about the name, but oh well.
Quote:
Wii U To Have Significant 3rd Party Support 6/07/11 10:08AM PDT Assasins Creed, Batman Arkham City, New Tekken, Darksiders 2, Ghost Recon, EA Sports will all be on the new Wii U.
The new console's controller has a pretty large screen on it as well. I didn't see any 1st party Nintendo stuff, just the third party games. The graphics looked impressive, but a dude just said he thought they were 360/PS3 graphics. Still looks cool.

I kind of hate the winter period of games. There are just too many . Starting from August, there's:
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Gears of War 3 - Batman Arkham City - Battlefield 3 - Skyrim - Assassin's Creed Revelations - Mass Effect 3
Too much awesome

Haha that's funny because I was thinking the same thing about that time period and I don't even want any of those games (maybe Skyrim).
-Disgaea 4 -Dark Souls -Rage -NHL 12 -Twisted Metal -Dead Island
Fall is crazy for games.
Also the new Wii looks pretty cool. I can't say yet if I'll want to buy one but since it's coming out in 2012 and Sony/MS probably won't release consoles until 2014 it could be worth picking up.

That's just how the game is, all enemies are armoured and some have shields. It's all about tactical use of abilities.
You should definitely check out both games, they're great.

the thunderrun scene is fucking epic, those tanks lkook sick. I just wonder what tanking will be like in multiplayer. I love all the lil details theyve refined and made awesome, like a compass in the tank HUD, aswell as speed/temp. awesome stuff, cant wait to see the rest of the game, i.e. helos/planes. etc... OWEE

Yeah, on an interview earlier with the CEO of EA, he was talking about that. He was like 'it's cool that Activision are doing their extra services for an extra cost, but we feel it's really important to do ours for free' He seemed like a pretty chill guy

Fuck that, I've been doing that for 20 years (okay, I started playing around age 4 or 5 so lets say 15 years or so).
I want more MMOs. More MMORPGs of different genres like Pirate MMORPGs, a QUALITY MMORPG based off of Shadowrun, and I want them to incorporate economies into the game. Make it easy for new players to get started and make businesses and then corporations and such.
A high quality post-apocalypse MMORPG would be awesome. I'm playing Fallen Earth atm and it's really good but it lacks in some areas, mostly graphics and PvP.

ugh I cant handle those games, just running around running around. blah bla bla cast a spell, steal a thing, use a thing, lose a thing, find a thing, make a thing, etc.. etc.. no fun. But to each his own. I like INTENSE ACTION!!!! thus why I wuv battlefield! I love that team/solo play ability, and the ability to enjoy the game over and over, even when all things are unlocked and all levels achieved. !!! Not to mention High Quality audio/graphics!!! and yeah, not to mention I CAN BLOW SHIT UP!~

Nintendo totally stole the show again this year! Proving once again why I am a loyal Nintendo customer.
Their new system looks awesome!! I am really diggin the new controller, with a 6.5 inch screen?! That's huge! Now you can have multiple people playing the same game, with totally different screens. I'm really excited to see where they can take this new technology, and what innovations it will have on game play.
Plus, now that nintendo's new system has more processing power than the PS3 & the 360, they might be able to recapture the hardcore market.
Nintendo innovates, everyone else imitates. Also, they said they will be making a new Super Smash Bros game for the 3DS!! Fuck yea!

More overly gratuitous graphics that I'm numb to that takes away from storyline development and numbers of quests. Less books, more voice acting that takes up half the disk space. No danger, no fun. Smaller world, stereotypical environments. Less weapons than morrowind, more limitations on spells. Less back story, less mystery. Shallow, boring game for shallow, boring people.

It looks like Skyrim is adopting some Bioshock 2 elements. It looks alright, but I don't like the idea that there is unlimited generated dragons in the game.
I hope level scaling disappears. Seriously that is the worst part of Bethesda games.

Well according to Elder Scrolls lore, Dragons are supposed to be super-rare, not frequent enough to justify skill progression by killing them. They are supposed to be like elder God type deals.
Bethesda is raping the lore.
Although i'm more frightened of the thought that level scaling might stay

Yeah, level scaling is a bad idea.
I know what you mean about the lore but it doesn't bother me too much. As games progress the lore changes, the Warcraft series is a good example of this. Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't. As long as it's an enjoyable game and I'm not being bum-raped by dragons every 30 seconds I won't mind.

they haven't mentioned anything about any of that being true or anything. you're making pretty blind assumptions about a game calling it shallow 5 months before it's even released.

It looks like Skyrim is adopting some Bioshock 2 elements. It looks alright, but I don't like the idea that there is unlimited generated dragons in the game.
I hope level scaling disappears. Seriously that is the worst part of Bethesda games.
they said there is a limited amount of dragons.

Although on a brighter note, It seems to be that Bioware is flipping off the writers on their staff more than Bethesda.
Seriously [Regarding Cerberus in Mass Effect]:

ME3 "Fuck you Shepherd, we are working for the reapers now, how's that for a stereotypical plot twist?!!"

Is there a new engine for skyrim? If so I can pretty much guarantee that almost all of those assumptions will prove to be correct.

I think it will be alright. From what we have been shown, Skyrim's world is the exact same size as Oblivion maybe just a little bit smaller. The engine looks basically like a tweaked version of the one that they are using.
I can only hope that the monsters don't turn into flash and run away faster than you can catch up to them when you are powerful like they can in Fallout or Oblivion.
My other hope is that they have more than 5 people doing all of the voices.

It might be a little smaller but remember not all areas of the Oblivion map were accessable. In Skyrim they've said you can climb every mountain and all that jazz.

I remember that part, it was hard as shit. I just sucked it up and tried out different techniques till I got through it. Probably took me like 45 minutes and it felt awesome once I killed all those mofos.
After beating the game too, I went back and played that part again and got through it on my first try. It became a lot easier once you learn how to actually play the game.
That guy sucked and sounds like a bitch
The Witcher 2 is an awesome game btw

well to be honest their presentation was a bit kooky, at first I believed either A) we would be blown away or B) we would walk away not knowing what the fuck is going on
and thats what happened at first they introduced the controller before the game and they were showing golfing off of it and using it as a shield and it led me to believe they were releasing a new controller and project cafe was something completely different
then they showed the HD graphics which looked fucking crazy and I just kinda took it in like a house plant or something lol
so yea even the guys on G4 were like yea I'm excited about what may have just happened here... because the way the whole thing went down, that other chick probably shut down
but then i was playing black ops on a flat screen and was like ohhhhhh i see why they want to make the move
the thing could be good i mean it would hopefully have a keyboard but the thing that worries me is that it will just be used like the GBA and no developers will come up with anything aesthetically crazy like i dunno maybe a way the other person receives text, and it could be ok for a radar but if you're playing a fps on the same screen it doesn't matter if you play on the tray you're not goin to get to use a wii mote so it's pretty up in the air. The plus and minus on the wii mote are in the middle of fucking nowhere but that doesn't seem to matter now. So yea im pretty worried that developers will get into this time frame habit and kind of jus make something generic everyone can use rather then some hardcore shit.
the new controller as the original abyx, two shoulder buttons on each side and two joysticks so it looks pretty good, to be honest i thought it was going to be a psp inside a xbox controller but ehhh i dont for see myself wanting to play with-out the maracas to be honest unless its 'like' a racing game
the games for the 3ds look like games for kids and there no fucking way a 5 year old needs a 3ds so i dont get why the games look so simplistic(...)
and for a minute or two i thought Swatora iwata or whatever came to america to fuck us over because of some past asian beef

Umm... The map isn't going to be small. It's about the same size as Oblivion, there are 8 times as many interior designers on SKyrim as Oblivion. You know what, don't buy it, more game for the people who know it will be amazing.

He's entitled to his opinion just like you are. You fanboys are so quick to attack anyone who criticizes a game they haven't played, but you're doing the same thing by praising a game you haven't played. We can make some pretty fair assumptions about Skyrim based on previous Elder Scrolls games, Skyrim previews, Bethesda's recent releases, and the current trends in the gaming market. Same as I can say with a high level of confidence that Mass Effect 3 will be another shitty BioWare release even though it will most likely be lauded as a masterpiece. They haven't made a good game in years and I wouldn't expect them to start now.
That said, I may or may not still pick up Skyrim. I don't think it will be a bad game, but even if it were I'd rather play a shitty RPG than another god damn shooter at this point.

Uh, ok, except most of what he said wasn't an opinion he could have reached from reading preview information. He said 'Less weapons than morrowind', 'Less books', 'more limitations on spells. Less back story, less mystery'. Those things aren't his opinion, he's just spouting random bullcrap about a game he's never played. There's been know information to suggest to any of these things being right or wrong, if there is, point me to it.

It's not even just the amount of FPS's, it's the fact that they're all the same. Every one that comes out is a warfare game or uses the same stupid XP system. Same aiming mechanics, same regen health (even when it makes no sense), same leveling up, same weapons. Some games have interesting ideas like nanosuits, or different perks, but the experience is basically the same. Fucking boring. Where are all the Quakes and Half-Lifes? Every game just wants to be CoD now.
TPS are getting bigger too. I didn't hate RE5 they way a lot of people do, but why did the series become a TPS? What happened to the survival horror genre? Dead Space is gory, but not scary; just another TPS. Why is Mass Effect labeled as an RPG when it's a TPS? It's as much RPG as CoD is (no surprise from the developer that said they want to draw in CoD players).
All niggas want to do is blast bitches. Disregard gameplay, acquire bullets.

I wish nintendo would focus on what they are good at, making awesome first party games with epic stories
I want another majoras mask, moar paper mario(RPG style not that super paper mario crap) better super smash bros with some epic online. Brawl really let me down, it felt more like mario party or mario kart in that it was more luck than skill due to all the variety.
BF3 I cant wait to see what can be done, I want to snipe out of some skyscrapers while the base of the building im in is rigged up with my C4 for a quick and deadly getaway
The Infared on vehicals
I just wish they had shown more about the aircraft, jets and helos are what im really interested in
Bombing stuff with so much destruction will be killer
The thing is, all the past battlefields with frostbite were lacking small scale destruction in several ways, first off bullet destruction(but thats obvious). More importantly the lack of small things to blow up, there were tons of empty houses with chairs in them what I want to blow up is a fully equiped mansion in an advanced city. Blowing up walls is cool and all but blowing up walls that then send tvs, sunglasses, balls, paintings, glass, books, clothes, and whatever else flying everywhere is true destruction because you get the feeling something epic was done.
I hope they have very large bombs/orbital strikes or something capable of quickly leveling an area, kinda like the artillary strike in BF:2MC where it would become active every five minutes or so and whoever reaches it first gets to launch it
Anyway, Iv been busy and need to go watch the nintendo press conference.
Adios battlefield lovers

I hope Battlefield 3 has artillery weapons. That'd be so cool, I love shelling the enemy from the distance in a tank, it would be much better with one of these

You really think there is a good chance of a deep backstory and more books (books!) in Skyrim? I doubt most of their casualized fanbase even has the attention span to read text, that's why they shell out millions on voice actors that reduce the amount of dialogue in the game by a wide margin. It can be reasoned that focusing on graphics, physics engines, voice acting, and "radiant ai" (whatever the fuck that is) will drastically reduce the overall depth of the game. It happened in Oblivion and there is no reason to assume it will not happen in Skyrim.
While I enjoyed Fallout 3 it was a shell of a game compared to fallout 1 and 2. That's if you are weighing it in the sense of a true RPG concerned with depth, atmosphere, narrative, and real choices.
And let's not forget the DLC like horse armor that should have been included in the game from the start.

Radiant AI is going to make the game far more in depth and relevant to your own character. It's going to make the NPCs far more realistic, and it will tailor quests to your own character. It will NOT reduce the depth of the game. There's been no indication at all that Bethesda have been spending 'millions' on voice actors. You have no idea how many books will be in the game. And if you only want to read books in the game, why don't you just buy a book? You'll enjoy it a lot more. You clearly haven't read much about the game, because you're just complaining about random crap that you clearly have no idea about.
