Plaxico Burress out of jail says it's a "beautiful day".

The man is 34 or so and an idiot. Any future for him in the NFL? And it's always a beautiful day when you are released from jail or in his case prison. It's a wonderful natural high.

hell yes he'll be back in the nfl
he's a fucking great receiver
and 22 months for shooting yourself is ridiculous
his civil rights as protected by the 2nd amendment were horribly violated
i don't have anything against him, i wish him luck, and almost any team that wants a big effective target on 3rd and long and in the red zone will welcome him

It'll be interesting to see how much he's still got left.
But no doubting he was one of the best WRs in the league before it all went down. People are saying he might end up in Philadelphia, but they really don't need another receiver.
Whoever picks him up though, if he's able to recover athletically, will have a really potent weapon.

There is no civil right to bring a loaded gun and discharge it in a crowded bar. Never has been. He's probably still got something left. How much? We'll see. I wouldn't throw big money at him.

I see him landing somewhere on the west coast. Maybe Seattle or St. Louis. Both teams desperately need a WR. Philly would be stacked if they got him

Yeah could u imagine. Burress. Maclin. Jackson. Celek. West coast offense.
They would rip up the passing game. You could probably just huck the deep ball on 999 routes and one of em will snatch it.

I don't think what is commonly referred to as the West Coat Offense involves "just chucking the ball deep". From my understanding of the West Coast Offense it involves short passes that turn into long gains through various manipulations of the coverage.

I was just joking around about how loaded Philly's receiving core would be if they added Plex. And the simple fact they run a WCO.

Even if he doesn't like it, reading some of his posts and giving some credibility to his opinion, I think he is right in this matter with the West Coast offense philosophy.

I cant wait for someone to do the Plaxico dance in the endzone after scoring against whatever team he ends up on. I see the player pulling a make believe gun from his pants and shooting himself in the leg, then another player walkin him out of the endzone in cuffs.

lol ice cold that would be.
I like Plax. I always have. He's not a bad guy, he doesn't talk shit, he doesn't talk much at all honestly. He's really quiet and just plays hard.
I mean, he really was the biggest factor on offense with the Giant's run to the Super Bowl.
His battles with top cornerbacks were epic.

Omniprecent, a obscure Buffalo player and fined of course. I haven't been on the Shroomery for awhile so excuse me if someone responded to it, I haven't read the whole thread.

How'd that game turn out? I can't remember.
I can't remember because the Bills are an afterthought. Just a circled W when you look at the schedule. The Scott Norwood of the NFl so to speak.

How'd that game turn out? I can't remember.
I can't remember because the Bills are an afterthought. Just a circled W when you look at the schedule. The Scott Norwood of the NFl so to speak.
Which has not one thing to do with the obscurity of Stevie Johnson, who was torching Revis that day.

Steve Johnson is an above average player, but at this point he's not a whole not more than that. I mean we're talking about a guy who has had ONE 100 yard game this year.
I think he'd make a fabulous number two guy, though.

All this debate aside, when the fuck will the Bills move to Canada? What is holding them back? CFL interests? If I bought season tickets to Bills games I'd be pissed as hell. God, at least the Bills are actually located in New York State and not Jersey.

In fantasy football with a twelve team league. On about half of the real football league he is a bona fide 1. I'm gonna say it again. He handed Revis his lunch in that game. Revis.

Forget fantasy football, brah. Right now, in the National Football League, Steve Johnson is a very average number one. Could he become a good number one? Yeah, he can. But he's not that right now. He just isn't.
Do bonafide 1's have games like this through out the year?
vs CIN 4 rec, 58 yards
vs PHI 4 rec, 29 yards
vs NYG 5 rec, 39 yards
vs WAS 6 rec, 57 yards
vs DAL 2 rec, 8 yards
vs MIA 2 rec, 16 yards
He's got 1 (ONE!!!) 100 yard game this year. Bonafide one's don't go through 14 weeks of the season with just one 100 yard game under their belt.

I think he is the perfect #2 for a good team with an established #1. I dont think he can be the #1 on a competitive team. Yes, I do realize that he has Fitzpatrick

Absolutely. He'd be a terrific two on a team with an established 1. He's just too inconsistent right now though to be a one.
