I'm going to be doing some experimenting with psylocibin. I'd like to learn more about its effects when ingested consistently. I was going to keep a log, but I figure I'll just post that info right in this thread. Here's some basic info about me:
- 22 year old male
- tendency toward anxiety, perhaps a touch obsessive compulsive
- prescribed to 10mg/day Lexapro (SSRI)
- some experience with low and high doses of psylocibin
- some experience with Zen meditation
- normal dude, normal life
What I'll do is try different things, post what I'm trying, and post my reaction to it. Any and all comments are welcome.

what do you mean ingesting consistently? You mean taking it as a medication... daily or something?

Dogomush- Yeah, I don't really have a set definition for that. Basically I want to experience the clear-thinking mind I have during and after a mushroom experience all the time. This clear mind always seems to fade so I'm going to experiment with consistently eating them to keep a consistently clear mind. How consistent and at what dosage is what will be experimented with.

Well, ok.
Last mushroom ingestion was 04/05/2003 of about 1.5 dry grams.
Last dose of Lexapro was 20mg today. Last dose before that was 10mg on 04/05/2003.
Last meditation session was 04/19/2003 for about 7 minutes. Last session before that was about four months ago.
Note current date and time. About to eat .5 dry grams.
EDIT: Changed "1 dry gram" to ".5 dry grams". I want to get some sleep before too long.

Interesting trip. It was the first time I've tripped by myself. It came on relatively quickly, was stronger than I expected, and was over in about an hour and a half.
Today I feel pretty good. We'll see how things progress.

Interesting experiment, I was reading about someone doing this w/ acid. You should volenteer yourself to some group like MAPS

DailyPot- I've checked out a MAPS study on Psylocibin and OCD but I don't think I have "moderate to severe OCD". Plus I don't live near Arizona.
I took my 10mg dose of Lexapro this morning, and ran for exercise. I also smoked a small amount of marijuana in the late morning.
Today I've been feeling unusually motivated and energetic. It's a great feeling and not one I usually have. It's not jittery like coffee, but clear and focused. Also, smoked marijuana (as opposed to vaporized) can makes me feel anxious and makes my head feel cloudy. I did not feel those effects to the same extent that I'm used to.

I'm feeling GREAT today. Very clear head. Distracting thoughts fall away easily. Very positive outlook. Feeling extraordinarily sharp.
I took 10mg of Lexapro today.
EDIT: I guess not sharp enough to catch that typo.

Wow that is amazing the results you are getting feeling all clear headed and whatnot.
A few problems with this I can see are that if you constantly or consistantly take mushrooms over and over again you will have such a massive tolerance that I doubt you would even feel anything.
Another thing is if you trip too often you start like I don't know tripping all the time kinda thing I forget what it's called but my buddy kinda has it.

Billowz- But don't you think tripping once a week or possibly twice a week would give my body enough time to become sensitive to the psylocibin again?
Today I'm feeling great, except a little groggy which is because I took four valium and vaporized some marijuana last night.
Made plans to trip with a couple friends on Sunday so that should be my next dose.

I took two Xanax last night and drank some beer. Feeling great today.
I'm really contaminating this experiment but I'm going to knock that off now.

I think if you do shrooms in low doses you might not gain tolerence.
So hows your life going? Beond the clear headedness?

No way this isn't it. This is going to be a long term thing. I'm glad to hear you guys are following this a little. No more substances except shrooms, some vaporized weed, and some beer. Oh and the Lexapro. This is my goal, but if I slip up I WILL report it.
Weekend's coming and I can't wait to trip. It's gonna be something like 1.5-2 grams.
As far as how my life's going... AWESOME. Seriously, I'm getting along with people great (male and female) and I'm very motivated to get a lot of work done and exercise. My first shroom trip in about 9 months was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Since then I've been running and working out every day and I look and feel great. I got a haircut too. I've become very focused to "stay on the ball" and get things going in the way I want them to go. And it's not in a compulsive way but in a very clear-headed way. You know that clear, motivated way you feel after a shroom trip? I feel that way all the time now.
P.S. I love mushrooms.

So far I noticed I've get just a tad edgy the next day. That goes away the day after though. As far as memory, it might be just slightly affected, but much less than smoking weed all the time, and I don't ever forget anything important. "What was that chick's name again?"
