Considering trying Ayahuasca for the first time

So once again I am considering trying ayahuasca now because I believe it can help me. I desire to reconnect to myself and I believe it can help clear some of the blockades standing in between. I also believe that it can help me let go of some unwholesome fears that I am still holding onto, personal insecurities that keep me from living, going out, enjoying my life, being myself. And perhaps to help wake me up to realize directly how some of my behavior or thinking is damaging. Maybe also to help heal my body. Nevertheless I feel that there is a lot to purge and let go of. As well as an ego to shatter.
I am also looking for inspiration, and for that inspiration to pierce my heart. Do you think ayahuasca is a good tool for healing in these respects? If no, why not? Thanks.

ayahuasca is definitely all of those things.. I was fortunate enough to also experience physical healing because I had had soaring pain in my kidneys that was virtually removed through my purge. It's not a journey to be taken lightly though. I purged so much that police had come to see what was wrong (I guess people could hear me puking from inside their homes a good mile away from where they lived in the park I was at). Luckily the police had no idea what was wrong with me and I had enough of my mind to tell them to politely fuck off. I had to experience ego death and come to terms with my own demise which was very hard, but I feel more in touch with the world these days.
My advice.. dont use mimosa root bark. Either have whole dmt or psychotria viridis IME

Do you think it can help with back pain? I do not have herniated disks but they are bulging and cause me quite a lot of pain throughout the day, which definitely affects my mood.
