Any experience combining the two? Can they enhance each other or does one inhibit the other?

Sounds like a fast track to respiratory failure if you're not careful.

This was the first thing that came to mind....
Possibly very light amounts of K could go well with opium or opiates in general, anything more than a little and I can see the K over powering the opiates and probably not the safest combo.

Ketamine is very light on the respiratory system, which is why its a battlefield anesthetic. I've used both in combination lots of times. The only thing is, depending on how tolerant you are of both it can get a bit nauseous, particularly if you dose heavy on the pods. I'd start light on the k and wait until you've got a decent opium high going.. I've done massive lines whilst being close to nodding out and I'm still alive (I have little opiate tolerance, but quite a big k tolerance).
Definitely adds another dimension to the pods though, can get a bit boring just laying there feeling good.

The effect of ketamine on the respiratory and circulatory systems is different from that of other anesthetics. When used at anesthetic doses, it will usually stimulate rather than depress the circulatory system.
