Should I confront an old therapist?

So, last year, I saw a therapist a couple times. I stopped because I was unemployed and didn't want to spend money every month that could be saved. And also because I wasn't really getting much out of it and she didn't know how to help me. I was always depressed and stuck in my thoughts.
She did tell me though that she has worked with clients with ecstasy (mdma) in therapy and that she believes it has therapeutic value.
My mushrooms should be done growing in a few weeks and I want to take a very spiritual journey. Should I confront my old therapist, through email or otherwise, that I would like her to act as a guide during my trip(s)? If she wants payment, how much would it be worth? Or should I offer shrooms? I don't even know if she does shrooms but I do know she's done ecstasy.
Otherwise, I plan to do these trips all by myself. So should I confront her?

Plan a session and confront her about it then, she'll most likely say no cause she said she uses MDMA. But if you confront her during a session she cant do anything about what you say, and if she says yes who know, it may be the craziest trip you've ever had.

bad idea, she has a professional reputation to uphold, unless you are friends as well i wouldn't advise it.
i would also think someone who has a more legit connection to you, ie friend would be more understanding and helpful then a "uh huh and how does that make you feel type" and would be free.

Well, I'm planning to do SEVERAL trips. I have so much on my mind as to what I want to get accomplished out of these trips.
You know, I guess I should just go at it alone with no guide or babysitter. I have strong intent, I'll be fine.

the best advice i can give u is not to have those expectations i find that when i just ride with whatever im feeling, and let them do whatever they are going to do with no resistance, that i get the most out of it

Expectations of what? Are you saying I should just "wing" it? Just go into the trip without stating first, "Ok I want to learn this this and that about myself from this trip" ?

Don't just wing it. Prepare with meditation and keeping your body healthy. But, I agree with stranger_danger. Don't go into a trip thinking, "I'm going to solve this problem and that problem..." It just dosen't work like that IME.

OP, why are you looking at this as a "confrontation?"
Just send her an honest email and see what she says.

There is, like, no chance in the world that this therapist is going to want to have anything to do with that. It would mean an enormous risk to her. It doesn't even sound like you've built much of a relationship with her.
If I were in your shoes, I'd keep mum about the drugs and save both you and her the awkwardness.

I take back my last post. What do I know? She's gone out on a limb by telling you that she's done MDMA.
Sorry to have been such a know it all.

I wouldn't. Psychedelic therapy consists of a lot of sober sessions that build up to one or two psychedelic sessions. If you weren't getting anything out of your normal talk therapy and cut that shit off long ago, then you and her don't have the background relationship to have an effective trip session.
Psychedelics aren't like a magic pill that will cure all your issues brah.
Just go ahead and trip by yourself and have a good time/productive introspective experience.
