I just got my ass kicked!
I did 5 sets of 8 with 90 seconds rest at a tempo of 301.
I did..
Heel raised back squats one and a quarter style. Thats where you raise your heels up on 5lb weights, squat down, squat 1/4 of the way up, squat back down, and then squat back to the top to complete one rep.
After that I did a superset of jefferson lunges and split good mornings.
........Those fucking jefferson lunges kicked my fucking ass to hell. On the last one after I set the weight down I fell to the floor. I love it.
I was going to do some wood chops too but my pulley system doesnt really support them. So I did a lower body russian twist.
Its not even tomorrow and my legs are sore as fuck already. Good shit!
I have increased my protein intake too. We will see what happens.

well i need to finally contribute to this thread
i've been lifting seriously and consistently for a little under a year now so i'm still novice status compared to some of you guys. my 1RMs right now are
squat: 315 bench: 215 OHP: 140~ deadlift: 375~
that's pounds obviously. i'm not to sure about OHP and deadlift because i tested them using 5 rep max but thats about where i'm at.
i've been doing Wendler's 5/3/1 program for a month now, i'm just finishing up my first cycle. the plan is to stay with that for a whole year and then see where i'm at. hopefully somewhere around 405 squat and 260 bench.
anyone else on 5/3/1? the deload week is killing me, i fucking want to lift but the working sets are the same as the warm up sets so it's kind of silly. gotta stick to the program though. also, i'm about 6' and 190.

Welcome Tibbs and Othyem! Good jobs on the lifts guys and those are some pretty bad ass numbers to start posting here with! Hope you guys keep up here, the dudes here are nothing but supportive and we are definitely all here to help one another.
PDU, I don't know how you're doing it buddy, I've been having the hardest time getting the motivation up.
With school and shit it's like my days off are my days off of everything. Been spending time with the gf most days off, and definitely enjoy the R&R. Sunday is the beginning of my final week of the base mesocycle or mesophase, whatever it is, and so in 2 weeks time I test my new 1RM. I've been working out with a 1RM @ 405 for squat, though I did higher before. May try a 475 somewhere in that week, to see if I can hit 500 soon. Saw some powerlifter dudes are the gym the other day repping 535, and when I thought he didn't have any more, he busted out another 2. Got kinda jealous of the drive he had, but figured right now I'm the only thing holding me down
Sorry for the rant, just trying to light a fire under my ass.

Look at it this way Bronco - We're in different stages of our motivation cycle...
I pretty much slacked all summer because i was over worked and came back rejuvenated and with a more intense vision after christmas...
So, with that said - i've only really been consistant for the past 5 weeks (although only missing 1 workout in that time!)
I hope to keep it up - but as we all know too well, LIFE HAPPENS (and gets in the way.)

Good point. That definitely takes away some of the self loathing lol. I'm gonna tear it up tomorrow, got a 4x9x315 kinda psyched, hoping to really get through my mental barrier and all that self limiting bull crap.

I tried the N.O. gnc brand today...its pretty good, I have been using N.O. explode but this pre energy supplement might be better plus its real concentrated just one scoop and a big tube. I would get it tho only if the 50% discount is active because 60 bones is steep as hell. Its good though I would recommend it... gives you real good sustained energy not like a peak and then drops off. Amplified N.O. loaded.

Fast 50km ride today, 130 mins. I am pretty pooched now.
Using milage and dividing by time to get an average speed and punching it into a calorie calculator indicates that i burned rough 1500-1700 calories. :O
I wonder if thats right ...
I also wonder if i'll lean out being in a defecit for a day or 2 a week through the spring/summer.

You should start running lol. I ran during/after my divoroce, and got my weight down quick, the lack of appetite is a great thing!
