It is always better to eat before you workout. You will need the extra calories that you are burning in the gym.

Yea people say to eat a little something but I would never eat a full breakfast before...Your body burns the most fat in the mornings as soon as you wake up.

that's awesome. you mean your rear delts? how does 400 swings go? i'd imagine that would be pretty brutal..?
bb rows and presses feel to me like they are great for all delt areas (side, front, back) so power cleans, clean and jerks, rows etc should be awesome for your upper body area. and presses!!

please explain the 5,4,3,2,1 to me??
I have never used KB's before...

I am noticing development in the delts in general, but especially the front.

400 swings i'll probably do 1 handed with 40lbs, sets of 40 or 50 alternating every 5 swings. The 40lb'r isn't a *heavy* weight these days and i can work through 400 fairly easily, mostly working my legs and cardio. It certainly leaves me standing in a puddle.

5,4,3,2,1 C+P is a decending ladder progression, ie:

5 reps right, 5 reps left, 4 reps right, 4 reps left, 3 reps right.... etc.

I'd like to start doing ladders with the 60lb, but i am not sure if i consistently do 3 reps with it yet.

DIET - i am dwelling on this alot lately. I think it's my week point. Although i eat almost all whole and natural home cooked foods, i don't think i am eating as good as i could. That's my next step...

Nice PDU....yeah diet is important I was working out everyday but not eating as well as I could...now I question everything I eat and count calories, the whole nine....I check the nutritional content of everything I eat and if I can't see whats in it I don't eat it.

Sounds like a killer routine with the KB PDU, I find myself standing in a puddle after swings as well! Been doing them in this 102 degree heat we have going on so it's more like a little pond

Diet in my opinion is the key to it all, exercise is important but if your looking to get straight to it diet is where you start. However a lot of people think it's the other way around.

was planning on squatting tonight, but didn't have enough time, so had a quick overhead session instead, the highlight of which was 220x1 strict.:whoo:
not quite a max effort, I'll give 225 a go next time, whenever that may be, my OH sessions are a bit willy nilly.

incline barbell press with hands facing each other apparently is good to do coupled with bar dips
