is it true that flexing the muscles you just worked after your sets increases striations?

Not sure, however there's a workout called like FST-7, fascia stretch training I think, that gets your fascia to stretch, resulting in easier and more muscle growth. Kinda like stretching a pair of jeans to where you can get your hands in your pockets lol. You drink lots of water, do lots of reps, and flex after sets to get your muscle pushing out.

If you fail, don't look at it as you didn't succeed, look at it as you would a rock face you're trying to climb. Stand back, wayyyy back, and look at it and plot another path. If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. You wait till your last rep in a set then hold it at the bottom of the rep for about 30 seconds and yeah it does help I don't know why I keep forgetting about FST!

I worked like 15hrs overtime this week, and still got in 2 solid workouts, so i am feeling good about that.
Definitely feeling reinvigorated towards working out, and hoping to stay consistent and more diverse in my approach than focusing on high rep heavy weight deadlifts as i was doing this year.
I sampled Vega preworkout powder and am pleasantly surprised. It is all natural ingredients, mildly mentally stimulating, and tastes really good and has absolutely no comedown or residual stimulating effects. The effect it had on my workout is negligible, maybe a bit more gas in the tank before burning out and reaching failure, but nothing to write home about. It certainly suits my needs though, i just need a pick me up after work once or twice a week.
Anyways, i am still making progress and enjoying this thread.

SO! i got blackout drunk at my unit Xmas party lastnight.....
my birthday on the same day as an open bar xmas party with co-workers = embarrassment to the max....
heres a few of the nuggets that i dont remember happening at all that co-workers told me i did lastnight.......
i grabbed a chicks boobs that i work with in front of her husband she just laughed about it her husband got pissed off and left the bar (thank god he didnt punch me)
i picked up a couple of the female nurses and proceeded to carry them around like objects and not let them down.
did some kind of ballroom dance with my 60+ year old asian manager complete with twirls and dips to the ground (thank god i didnt drop her on her head)
i spilled PLENTY of drinks seeing as how all the pics of me there are wet spots on my shirt.
someone who i dont like or get along with that was my secret santa gave me a FUCKING PINK SHIRT. i looked at is said "oh this is nice" then threw it behind the bar and walked away.
got kicked out of the bar for fighting with a dude who pushed me away from the bar to cut in line to get a drink.
and the creme de la creme of the night.....
i freaking did some serious PDA's with a bud of mine i fucking did gay PDA in front of my co-workers! im definitely NOT that guy but apparently last night i was.
So yah that was my night. On the upside im not fired though it wouldnt surprise me if we didnt have an open bar xmas party next year. my boss told me this morning that she puked in her bed lasntight from all the shots. Shes a classy dame.
oh and if your curious as to how much i drank i had 1/2 a bottle of whisky plus 5 super strong long islands 4 beers and 6 random shots. all on an empty stomach.
in weight training related news does anyone do circuit training? i hear its great for endurance and since im training for tough mudder i figure i should get some endurance in but i guess my question is i run and swim ALOT. will circuit training help much or can i just stick to weight training hard and running and swimming?

I was going to start a modified-circuit-HIIT in the next few weeks. I was going to change reps/sets to fit the HIIT thing. 2 min bursts of reps on lower weight with a 1 min break in-betwen. I was thinking of doing this to lose some poundage. It will be kind of the KB theory (carido+weight) with the tempo of HIIT for max fat loss. Sounds like you had a blast last night. My Saturday night left something to be desired-100ish mg of MXE, lots of JWH, a glass of wine... Ended up making a gingerbread house...

I often circuit train when im a little low on time. I usually do at least two lifts in a circuit at a time. It keeps your heart rate up so i can see it being good for endurance.

Yah it was epic. Like I said I've never blacked out its kinda like living the movie memento. And not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. I think I will try out some circuit/hiit and see how it goes. Tough mudder is gonna be awesome me and 2 of my best buds I'm stoked for April.
Winton how was the gingerbread house? Tasty? Or just for looks?

So yesterday I got it the fuck in. It was leg day. Started with squats, then leg press, then something happned... IDK WTF! I felt total dysphoria. I felt sick and puked. I have herd people say, you didnt hit your legs if you didnt puke, bla bla bla. Shit. Now I know exactly what they are talking about. I just kept loading 90 more lbs on the damn thing and I just kept repping it somehow. Usualy I stop at about 600lbs, but yesterday I just kept loading the thing. Made it to 9 plates on each side of the machine. Then back down to 3 and I went to drink this celltech shit I fucking hate and about 30mins later blew chunks. So what I am getting at is what the fuck is this puking from? Too much lactic acid building up? I would like to attribute it to the celltech but I think it was the leg press. Other factors: It was 8am, I only had a few oranges half an hour before I went to the gym + dark energy. I think it may have had something to do with the 77g of dextrose in the celltech on an empty stomach while in a calorie deficient state. I may have had an extreme bloodsugar spike, followed by an extreme insulin spike causing me to go into diabetic shock? My stomach is a steel trap too. I never puke. HBWR, kratom, poppy pod tea, never puke...
Spotty, shitty post, kinda stoned, hard to put thoughts in proper order hope someone can understand what I am asking...

Circuit training would be good for endurance - it's a simple and sound approach; keep your heart rate up and work through fatigue. <--- obvious aspects of endurance.
When i am pressed for time i'll do;
Pushups Leg lifts front/side raises
or
Bent over rows Over head press pushups
or some variation.
It becomes very difficult by the 3rd set, and i'll usually reach failure before 5 sets on certain exercises.

It's not a diabetic thing, if you're not diabetic your body is gonna regulate shit well. Too much lactic acid I've never heard of, once again, unless you've got health issues you're not gonna have that be your cause. I'm thinking the overexertion, increased body temperature, blood being shuttled to your legs (dizziness), and possible gastric upset from constant flexing and/or the sugar. Normally when I hit legs like that I literally pass out from my blood pressure dropping. I was doing legs and my buddy had a blood pressure cuff (RN) in his car. I started feeling woozy and got the yellow tinted vision with the black walls closing in, and got him to take my pressure. My pressure was 80/40 basically, but then the sale closed in more and my ears were ringing, he got a 60/30 before I laid down. It's happened multiple times so now I know to just lay down and raise my feet.
Tomorrow morning I'm hitting the gym with 30 minutes of walk/run in the treadmill, then high reps/sets of deadlift, squat (275 range), and bench (225), then stuff like bent over rows and high pulls and read dept exercises. Then later I'm going to try to do an SS style workout, or do that Tuesday morning. Gonna try to do 15 minutes of cardio 2-4 times a week while I'm in school this next semester.

10 minutes on the treadmill, 4 minutes at a 7.0 pace, squats 3x12 @ 225; traps with the hex bar, 185x2x15; stiff leg DL 2x10x225; lat pull downs 3x12x170; close grip pull down 2x15x90; uprights 2x10x80; had to combat rush hour traffic on the road and gym, and had to work so I bailed early. Gonna go for the same type workout tomorrow or Friday, gotta get that blood flowing to my muscles I think that's why I've been so lethargic. Gots to gets my metabolism turned up, it's just tough with a cold winter. Gonna stick with p90x I think, I can do that at home and it is definitely kick ass.
