peptides....is that the same as prohormones? like structures that are just a few off from standard steroids and your body fills in the gaps?

I have a question for you guys, is it better to "down set" or "up set"? By down set I mean going as heavy as you can each set while dropping the weight a little each set to keep your reps up, and up set would be the inverse of that. Someone told me it was bad to down set, and that is what I always do.

In terms of my progress, I can do 35lb dumbbells for my front and lateral raises now 4 sets 10 reps. (with arms fully extended of course)

Rewindicus: peptides are actually fragments of proteins that trigger the release of GH. So yes and no. The prohormones mimic the steroid, where as the peptides trigger the release of a hormone. I've read up on some and it seems like they take months of use, and like everything else, diet is the biggest key to the formula.

IThink: drop sets are great, but you're only training your muscles one way. Try stacking then drop setting (pyramids) and see how great that feels. Always warm up with at least 2-4 sets of 1-5 reps, just to get your muscle/brain connection fired up. Can't very well speed off in a cold car can we? Another great workout is to build up to fatigue, then have a partner help you do negatives. They raise the weight, you lower it. I found when I was younger and trying to curl 55# dumbbells I couldn't even move it when I started. After 4 or 5 days of attempting, my body found the muscles needed and I got a rep, after trying and trying I finally built to 5 reps each arm, now I'm lucky to do 40s lol. With super squats they say to just stand under the weight and work at lowering yourself lower each time you try, that builds new neurological connections and helps train your muscles to do the weight.

You should be 'up setting' as you say.  In your situation you are doing 35lb dumbbell lateral and front raises for 4 sets of 10?  If you really are getting it that easy you should be going up in increments of 5lb each new set.  No point in keeping the same weight for 4 sets.  But also keep in mind adding weight isn't necessary unless you are really keeping good strict form, going slow in a consistent rhythm each rep squeezing and contracting your shoulder muscles on the positive and negative for each rep.

As a little experiment next time, try slowing down your shoulder exercises by 1/4-1/2 time (1/2 if you are just jerking them up), squeezing your shoulders as your doing the reps, and keep a constant beat going in your head on the positive and negative, see if the weight you were doing doesn't get that much heavier and if your shoulders don't burn that much more.  Okay, so I am getting into pure bodybuilding hypertrophy territory, is that allowed in the power lifting thread?  Ah well, it works.

Ya, I should probably warm up more than i do. I tend to only warm up on lifts that I sometimes feel some pain doing. I will give the pyramid thing a try!

Now that I think about it, I usually drop 1 or 2 reps on each set with my raises. I am always sure to use good form when I'm lifting, but dropping my weight a bit and going through the lift slowly sounds like a good idea. I've been doing really slow lifts more often, and they definitely bring on the pump.

Very true. I am quite close to my goals actually. If I could lose around 5-7 pounds of fat, I think I would be pretty damn shredded.

Nothings come in yet, not sure why, the mail is normally quick from him.

As far as peptides I've never messed around with them. If you do any "tan research" there's a peptides that have descriptions as to what they do, and pretty good prices. I'd truly just be happy taking oral steroids too, like anavar and tbol or something, just stuff to help harden my muscles. I've noticed that I'm always greasy and my muscles have become so solid. I cramp a lot even though I'm taking 4 multivitamin a day and drinking about a gallon of water (starting yesterday, I think I've got gout from dehydration).

Bronco....gout suuuucccccckkkkkkkkkssssss I got an acute case of it from Halloween weekend drank my balls off for 5 days straight it literally felt like my foot was broken. Take up to 1600mg of ibuprofrin 4x a day till it goes away. Or naproxin NO ASPIRIN. And yah drink plenty of water. No booze or foods from a can. (Purions and aspirin agitate gout)

Thanks, and I mostly want to get more cut right now, but I have been making progress in both areas.

Its called Viradex XT... I don't know much about it.  My buddy is a self-proclamed guru when it comes to BBing chems.  I really knows about every thing out there aside from injections.  He told me that it was a beginner kinda test booster.  Its kinda stupid of me not to know more about it but I trust him enough to take his word.
