If mine didn't pop my contacts out I'd wear them around town like I was a bad ass!

Got my 315 squat, 275 bench, but couldn't DL cuz the swollen muscle in my ass. Nobody I know who's using the shit I've got has any issues except me.

No nerve or anything, it's just been my constant. I've switched over to only test enanthate, the prop was horrid. I did 1.5cc, but even the 1cc had swelling. It's kinda cool cuz I can trace the muscle but the pain is horrible. Gonna stick with 1.5 every 4-5 days, depending on when the swelling recedes.

wtf.... this is the POWERLIFTING thread.... not the Swan Lake Synchronised Underwater Ballet Thread

loljks

well  Ijust got back from the gym....

......

I weighed myself first up, I've lost 10kg.... I'm down to 100kg/220lbs

Squat... oh god... terrible. 100kg/220lbs 3x5

(at least I made bodyweight)

I could already feel the lactic acid destroying me by the 3rd set

Bench  got to 80kg/176lbs for 1x5 then dropped back to 70kg/154lbs for last set of 5. I've always struggled with bench.... My shoulder is still giving me a bit of grief but nothing I can't overcome... I think I'm really going to have to go back to Wendler's pretty soon once I establish all my main lifts again so I can focus on destroying myself with 'safer' assistance exercises.

Deadlift....

140kg/308lbs 1x5... this felt perhaps about 80% but I didn't want to push it too hard on the first day back. It has been about 2 months since I last lifted.

I could really feel my glutes in this one haha.

Then I did some OH DB seated press.... really light on my shoulder, 15kg/33lbs for 3x8... these were really easy but I will rocket up through those.

I'm gonna spend this month doing some kind of SS thing for a while, simple 3x5 lifts and assorted assistance exercises... I was really fucked after this, took me an hour and I really did nothing... it really shows how little I've done.. and how out of shape I've gotten... but overall... how much strength I've lost... overall I'd say I've lost about 50% of the strength I had 2 months ago, as well as that 15kg of muscle or whatever which has now deterioated into a beer belly.

oh well, back on it Sunday!

Or should I go tomorrow...?

my graemlin of the week:

I took 2 weeks off and dropped from 295 for squat to 255, the next day back I was 295, and yesterday I was 315, you'll get back. Don't over train right away, but get back. Get beta alanine, lactic acid becomes a thing of the past.

Check your form benching and remember to pinch your shoulder blades back. My buddy can't go over 225 benching without shoulder pain, but now he's changed back to power lifting form with his shoulder blades pinched (creating a support system for your shoulder/humorous. That should help significantly.

thanks... never heard of the  shoulder pinching before, I'll give it a whirl. My bench has always been pretty bad but I've paid close attention to:

clenching the ass/arching the back
pushing down with feet
looking at the ceiling and not the bar
full ROM

It was prob a bit silly doing all 3 of the big 4 major lifts today but I wanted to see where I was at. If I can get a chance I might head up to the gym tomorrow and do some arms or something, my legs are so jelly atm haha

but yeah I'm giving myself 3 weeks or so and I'll be back up to scratch.

I used to get my heaviest lifts at night (post 8pm)

I just hate the bro-traffic in the gyms at that time.

Had another not too bad day today, looks like it's going to take fuck all for me to regain my size, albeit with massive loss of strength.

today I did:

military/chins (wow chins have suffered heaps haha)
db press/lat pulldown (both have suffered a lot)
shrugs/dips (dips are DEAD! wow I need to work on these)
pendlays/bb curls

i'm just getting the feel back for it, but by the end of the session I was pretty swollen up which was comforting I was worried it was going to take a while but hopefully within the next couple of weeks I should have some good solid mass again, I just need to sort my shit out and stick to a solid program

i really want to get back to SS but really REALLY want to throw in assistance work with it, despite the program suggesting so strongly against it...

anyway, all in all, good day. llooking forward to tuesday
