I don't know man I really hope it's not fucked. I've done some searching and haven't come up with a great deal, there is one thread where a guy has much the same symptoms as me but its the last post... no answers.
basically it felt like someone had given me a 'corky', somewhere between the bicep and tricep and below the side delts. that was first, i lost all my strength. According to an instructor it was a pinched nerve. no biggie, apparently ,that's seem to have gone now.
but now i feel like my shoulder is just really sore, the end of my collarbone (or acromioclavicular joint to be exact) feels quite sore and tender. Kind of weak, but not really. I've put some Deep Heat all over my arm/shoulder, DT massage tomorrow after an hour of yoga. I really hope it's ok.
I really think I just hyperextended it when I dropped the bar, so hopefully just an internal bruise somewhere (i really hope I really don't want a fucked rotator and I really don't want to stop training this close to my goal!)

Well I know you don't want to stop now but I would rest from the gym for at least a few days and let it heal. I don't think my friend ever let his heal and that's why its been such a problem for him.
I love eggs I figure my diet must be pretty good from all the results I've been seeing but . Like I found out the other day that a few very close friends had been thinking that I have been on roids for some time now LOL. So whatever I'm doing seems to be working. Gotta eat BIG to get BIG!

I have a shoulder injury right now. Were you talking about me?
I am on week 3 of 5 weeks of rest. For one day I had tinges of pain in my arm/shoulder but they died after a day. I had discomfort in it for 2 weeks but that, for the most part, has gone away.
5 weeks of intense rest my man. on week five I plan to start doing some rehabilitation exercises given to me by a doctor of physical therapy. Week six will be me weening myself back into lifting. I will start by lifting 5-10 pound weights for overhead press and bent over row. I will ween myself back into pushups by doing them leaning against a table first. Then on my kness. Then a normal pushup.
Thats my plan

fuck dude 5 weeks off must be driving you crazy! I know I couldn't handle it... I just spent 6 months off due to work going nuts about it.
How much of the rehab training will you be doing until you start getting heavy do you think?
I'll be fine if I just have to miss out until next week... I'll ask the masseur

I am not too sure. I will play it by ear. I definitely want to be safe about it though. So I am going to go slow and steady.

Definitely have the right attitude there brother, no point and risking anything. Slow and steady is key, don't get overconfident when you start putting up decent weight again, remember slow and steady even towards the end when your about to blow!

I'd say just a couple millimeters. Barely any pull, if you hit a blood vessel the blood will start coming in fairly quickly so it's easy to judge.

Cool that's exactly what I did and how I figured it would work if I had hit.
So If you do end up hitting do you start all over again and waist that amount of product you had in the pin?

Nah it's your own blood if you get a little in there don't worry just shoot it up with the roids lol. Might sound gross but like I said it's your own blood, it won't hurt you.
You just replace the needle and find a different spot.

Make sure you keep a detailed log of your lifting, I want to see the gains in detail everywhere. What do you plan to do to ween?
Interesting morning
Vinyasa yoga for 1 hour today, instructor told me to do 'plank' on my knees to keep pressure off my shoulder. Raising my arm above parallel is basically when the pain starts. I had a 1 hour massage afterwards and the girl worked the fuck out of me, whch was good. I am going to do weekly massages for the next month or so and then back off to bi-monthly
I then rang up a boxing PT, going to start doing one-on-one boxing classes to gain some agility, dexterity and more core.
I also am booked into a shoulder-specialist next thursday (does all the elite football players and whatnot) to sus it out, PT advised I get it seriously looked at just to be sure.
I think I am going to go tomorrow and just do legs, work some hamstings a bit more. Masseur said I had pretty tight glutes/hamstrings (only really started working them properly the last cpl weeks I guess)

Alright I'll start making weekly logs then since you asked. I work a lot but I'll do a preliminary log tomorrow.

Logs would definitely be great!
@xk: keep us posted in what the dr. Has to say, I'll be really interested to hear about that. Weekly massages sounds pretty awesome brother!
