Changed my squat technique today. I went narrow grip with elbows down, sweet Jesus it felt right. My squats always felt awkward doing rippetoe style with elbows up. I think I can probably do 10-20 percent more from that change alone.

I have always had shoulder problems and back squats kinda fuck it up, so i basically only do front squats myself even then i alternate it every weak with deadlifts (pussy shit i know, but fuck having no legs 5 out of 7 days). Plus im basically lifting for pussy, no not basically ONLY
Got my Seated OHP to 145 the other day, still feeling rather stoked on that. Good to be back on a winter bulk though, i dropped 10 pounds this summer and its been showing in the gym

Had to take a couple months off... Most depressing shit ever. I felt like a shell of the man I once was. Time to get the rows and presses back up.
Does anyone else have trouble with bis, my arms seem to be tri dominant and it bugs me. I know tris account for 2/3 of arm mass but still.
Also ive always done 5 by 5's, especially on cleans, any benefits to lowering the weight and just fucking the shit out of that bar till i cant anymore?

Everyones arm is tri dominant due to anatomy.
Tri (three) cep (head) Bi (two) cep(head) ___
Ive always been a believer in HIgher weight less reps, but thats just me i dont know the hard facts or anything. As far as bis go just crank it out. I hate Biceps too man, they take sooo much work to grow so little. I always work Bis as a minor muscle on back days but doing a mix of cheat curls, hammer curls, ez curls, and barbell curls eventually broke me through a plateau. I can hammer curl 45s and strict curl 40 for 10. I was stuck on 35s for what feels like forever.
I honestly think i only broke through by getting bigger shoulders and triceps though. Im starting to believe you body is resistant to change(well duh) and wont change unless it changes as a whole. Meaning you cant just do bench alone and bench 300lbs, your going to have to work your back and shoulders at some point.

I said above I was aware of the tricep naturally taking up 2 thirds of your arm. I just want more focus on my bis I guess size wise? I also dont want my back getting any wider. Im 6'1" 205 and have been sticking to compound lifts. Just worried about my back widening even more from bent over rows or weighted pull ups.

I dont know then dude. Me and you have completely different goals. What i was trying to say is you cant just pinpoint one muscle and neglect the rest, you grow as whole, Proportionality is key.
Biceps are a fucking tiny muscle with not a whole lot of practical use.

Maybe its just my genetics. I have long arms too. I'm still doing compounds but yeah. Maybe its self image shit. Just when i look in the mirror my arms look thin from the front, large from the side so my back looks wider than it probably is. Cant wait till i cut again hopefully itll go down.

I dont know why you are so hung up on your back and bis bro. I really dont know how you could have weak arms and super strong back, they kinda work together like that.
What are your lifts?

Its not a weakness thing at all. Its more of a "i want more volume" in my bis. Thats also the body part of mine i hate the most. Im currently in the process of working my way back up to my 285 squat, 265 bench, bent over rows were up to 185 5 reps. Right now its 225 squat 225 bench and 165 on bent overs. Had too long of a break do to financial reasons and putting my relationship before all else. I hate talking about just do to the fact my gains were coming in so well just to lose them.

If you want a challenge, try some Klokov presses, a.k.a. behind the neck snatch grip strict overhead presses. I know, they look like they should fuck your shoulders up, but quite the opposite. I'll be adding these to my routine, maybe not quite so heavy; as a warmup for OHP or bench would be good, I reckon. Try them.

I need my grip to be better. It just keeps failing me and has always been weak.
I do use chalk but I have never and don't want to use straps unless it will actually help. I have never even thought about straps.
2 weeks ago I was suppose to get 5 reps of 385 deadlift. I made it to 4 and had to drop it because it was slipping.
last week I dropped down to 315 dead lifts and just did a few sets of 6.
This week (two weeks after that failed 5rm attempt) I put on 385lbs once again. I got to the 4th rep and even worse then before, I couldnt even lock it out without the bar slipping out of my hand and dropping.
This fucking sucks. I have done this weight and reps before. Whats up?

Do you do grip work? Dumbell holds are good. I like to do rack pulls and hold the barbell at the top until my grip fails. Farmers walks are pretty Good too.
I usually do grip work on my dynamic leg day. Just make sure you're not doing it the day before you do max pulls.
I've never had issues with grip and I attribute the above for that.
Worth a shot if you're having issues.

or, hang from a chinup bar. once you can do it for more than a minute start hanging weights off a dipping belt, do it daily and add weight every time you hit the minute mark. grip strength can improve very quickly if you hit it every day.
